Robin's POV
She laughed, and it was a long hard, joyous laugh.
"What?" I asked, nervous.
She quieted, "I just, I thought this whole time that you knew who I was. I guess I missed the Romanian accent and didn't connect that the clothes were most definitely not from here. But um, your plan won't work, because the dictatorship is looking for me too, just probably not as enthusiastically, since you're new." She explained.
"Wait. Why?" I asked curiously.
If they were after her, she was either a criminal I should get away from immediately or a very useful ally.
"Hey, your running from them. I'm hiding. I won't ask you why, so don't ask- Oh. They really do want to find you."
"What?" I asked.
She came over and sat next to me, showing me the computer screen. Then she clicked a button and a page came up. Orders from Queen Bee to her army, demanding that they search throughly for any intruders that might have been left behind.
It was subtle, but obviously they were looking for me.
"She's even got her not-so-secret friends helping her." Lynn added.
"Secret friends?" I asked, confused.
"Yeah, the Light? You know, bunch of evil guys who always attack the Justice League?" She said, giving me a look that said; 'Duh, have you been living under a rock?'
"I don't think thats..." I trailed off.
"So what did you do to get on their nerves?" She asked. "Because it really must have been something."
"I'm not sure. I can't remember anything that happened in the last six months. I just woke up in Bialya." I admitted.
"Oh. That sucks." She said.
She looked back at the computer and turned it off. Then she stood up and walked to the corner, stuffing it into a leather bag, that was already much too full.
"Well, we better get moving if you wan to get back to Romania alive." She said.
"Oh, I actually live in America, Gotham to be precise." I told her as I stood up.
She immediately twirled around and looked at me excitedly.
"Really? Have you ever seen Batman or Robin?" She asked, leaning forward.
"Uh, no. They stick to the shadows, you really only see them if you're a criminal." I told her, "Why do you want to know?"
"I've always thought super heroes were cool. Always wanted to meet one, my favorites are the Gotham vigilantes. Batman is pretty much an equal to Superman, and he doesn't even have any powers. Pretty cool right?" She asked.
"Yeah. Batman is really, uh, inspiring." I told her.
If Batman was her favorite hero, how did she not know what I looked like? I frowned, something was definitely off here.
She turned back around and grabbed a long gray jacket, before slipping it on. Then she opened the chest, pulling out the last water and examining it, before placing it on the ground.
