a/n hey guys I know these updates are going to get slower and shorter but I have a lot of homework as I'm trying to graduate, I'm sorry but updates this summer will hopefully be longer and more frequent!!!
Calum's POV
When Luke pulled out his phone to text Octavia I audibly groaned, why must he include her in every single thing we do, he always talks about her and how great she is and how he's so happy to be working with her and how good of a writer she is.
Although she is a good writer, it gets annoying hearing her name every five seconds. Octavia this Octavia that, she's just so amazing.
"Good mate?" Ash asked
I roll my eyes "why are you inviting her? She's not a part of the band." I directed at Luke.
"I invited Johnson and Matt, it would be rude to not invite her, plus she's helped write this song," he answers without looking up from his phone.
I could tell that Luke was tired of my complaining, he had rolled his eyes at me before looking up from his phone and putting an arm around Sierra.
I had completely forgotten about the sliver of sympathy I had for her when we entered the studio and she saw the flowers someone had left. She had sounded really upset and obviously didn't want to talk about it when Luke asked her if she was okay. It made me wonder who sent her those flowers and why did she dislike this person so much that she threw out beautiful flowers.
What I can't get out of my head is the distance she now had in her eyes, she seemed different, even through all of the praise she gave me today she wasn't the same snarky girl I remember, and I hated that I couldn't get her out of my head.
And Johnson practically made Matt go with her to her apartment, like a safety measure.
I roll my eyes in an attempt to try and ignore my current thoughts. "I really hope she's not coming," I say downing a shot of the tequila Luke had ordered.
"She is and she's bringing a friend so be nice." Luke scolds
"You really gotta lighten up Cal, she has been nothing but nice to you," Ashton adds
"I don't really care, I haven't done anything to her so there's no reason for her not to like me. If she doesn't like me, why should I like her? I just don't get why you guys like her so much." I stood up from my seat and headed over to the bar for something more than just tequila shots.
I look towards the entrance of the bar and see two girls walk through the door, one I instantly recognize as Octavia, her long black hair fell her back as she wore a tight black dress that matched well with her silver heels. I would be lying if I said I didn't find her attractive, Octavia was surely a beautiful girl. I hated that she looked so good.
The bartender noticed my staring. "A beautiful girl isn't she?" the older man asked.
"Yeah, I guess so." I shrug. "Whiskey please." he simply nods while he turns to grab a glass and bottle of jack daniels.
"She used to come in here with her friend and boyfriend, but the boy stopped coming around about a year ago, she seems happier though."
"What do you mean?" I ask curiously. Who becomes happier after a breakup?
"I'm not really sure what was going on in that relationship but every time they came in together she looked miserable, and he looked all high and mighty, he seemed like a douche," he adds
I furrow my brows, I don't blame him for being an asshole, she's irritable. Plus if I had a girl like her on my side I would feel like the man too, any guy would love to have a girl as beautiful as her.
