Those where the words circling my mind as I walked down the stairs towards my doom.

I linked my arms with Rob a whispered in his ear "If I go down, you're coming down with me."

"How comforting." He rolled his eyes.

"I try my bes.t" I winked.

When we finally reached the bottom of the stairs I let my breath, which had no idea I was holding.

I have no idea how you girls walk around in these death traps.

We both sat down on the table and waited for the food to come.

"So Justice, how did you too meet?" His dad asked me

"We have science together and we got paired up for a project. We meet just about every week and we became really close. After the project was over we keep talking to each other." I smiled warmly

Three ladies in a maid outfit came and out and set the food in our table and walked away. I didn't even had time to say thank you.

My mom would call me a disgrace, but I like not having to say thank you.

Sue me; I was born to be rich.

As soon as Rob started eating his food, I followed, by eating mine.

And by eat I mean shovel it down my throat.

"How long have you two be dating for?"

"Just over one month."

I taste curiosity here. Curiosity and a bit of salt, but mainly curiosity.

"Justice Darling, do you do any extra activities after school? I bet a girl like you has a hobby."

Without hesitating, I spoke "Yes I do actually."

His dad suddenly looked very interested. "And what might that be?"

"I do horse riding. I have done since a kid."

"Interesting. Ever participated in any major event?"

"I have. I own quite a few first, second and third place prizes. You might know me as 'free spirit'?"

"Ah yes! I must say you are a great rider. You and your horse seem to be in symphony."

Now that is what I'm talking about! Something in common!

"Thank you. Me and Phoenix do have a strong connection."

I heard Rob cough some water and turn to me "Phoenix?"

"What's wrong with Phoenix?"

He laughed quietly "Nothing..."

"Actually, there's this competition next week. Would you like to come and watch?"

"I would be delighted!" His dad replied.

"I have a few tickets in my bag. After dinner I will look for them." I gave a warm smile

"Have you two love-birds had a first kiss?"

This time Rob took the reins "Yes we have. Our first kiss was on Valentine's day actually"

"Do you have anything planned for the future Justice?" His dad REALLY wants to know me.
