~Elizabeth’s POV~

Shawn is arriving to my house any time soon. It’s been a while since we last hang out due to his lack of international tours/concerts, song writings, and popularity. It’s been a really long time since we have seen each other. So tonight, we want to make this memorable.

Shawn and I have been best friends since we were in grade 1. I remembered it all clearly on the first day we became best friends. It was Bring Your Dad to School Day. Considering that I never had a dad while growing up, I didn’t bother bringing anyone. I mean, I would bring my mom but she has too many priorities that day. Everybody was looking at me, weirdly, even my classmate’s dads. It was my turn to go up the front. I stood there in front of the class, with my head down looking at my hands. I told them that I grew up without a dad. Everybody laughed at me, even their father. Tears rolled down my eyes and I ran out of the room. I sat down on one of the stair steps, bawling my eyes out. I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Shawn. I remembered him seating down beside me and he comforted me in every single way possible.  He made me laugh when I didn’t wanted to. Since then, we’ve been best friends. He never let anyone teased or bullied me. His always by my side and I’m always on his side. Shawn and I are inextricable since then.

The doorbell snapped me out of my memorable childhood. I ran to the front door and took a deep breathe. I straighten my clothes quickly and opened the door to reveal the one and only Shawn Mendes.

“Eli,” he yelled as he picked me up from the ground.

“Shawny,” I giggled while I hugged him back. “You grew up so fast.”

“And you didn’t,” he joked as he put me down on my feet.

“You don’t have to rub that in,” I frowned. “I already know that.”

He giggled and hugged me one more time. I opened the door wider and walked in. He walked straight in to the kitchen. I slightly giggled and I closed the door. I walked in to the kitchen to see him exploring the fridge.

“Hey, food robber, get out of the fridge,” I said, as I snapped my fingers. “There’s only healthy foods in there.”

“I can see that,” he pouted, sitting down on the dining table.

“Do you want to make chocolate chip muffins?” I smirked, knowing that he would say yes.

“Do I?” he screamed, jumping off his seat.

I laughed and watched him snatched the ingredients. He set them all on the counter with a huge grin on his face. He looked at me with so much happiness in his eyes. I walked in front of him and shake my head while smiling. I approached the oven and preheated it. I turned around to see no Shawn in sight. I walked to the cabinet and grabbed a big bowl, knowing that Shawn will want a lot. I also grabbed the muffins paper cup. I placed them on the counter. I was about to put the dry ingredients on the bowl until someone threw the flour at me. I wiped the flour out of my eyes to see Shawn laughing his lungs out. I dug my hands and grabbed a handful of flour. He didn’t noticed so I threw the flours at him. But the laughing mess he is, he luckily ducked the flour. He stopped laughing and looked at me with a surprise look on his face. He shoved his hands on the flour mixture and poured it on my face.

“My hair,” I whined and he began to laugh again.

I picked up the whole flour container and poured it all over him. Good thing there’s not that much left. He looked at me with furious look on his face though his eyes shows happiness.

“That’s it,” he yelled.

He walked towards me and I cursed under my breath. I began to run for my life. I can hear his footsteps behind me. His footsteps grew wider behind me and I immediately felt two arms around my waist. He picked me up upside down, hitting my head on his stomach.
