I’ve been sitting on my bed, playing video games all day. I would do my homework but I’m too lazy to get them downstairs. And who does their homework these days until the last minute of their due date anyway? I have everything I need in my room- water, food, bathroom, video games, cell phone, laptop, speakers for music, oh and did I mention food.

Today I’m alone again because my best friend is ‘not feeling good’ since 2 days ago and his my only friend. Some people actually like me but never tried being friends with me. But Cameron. Cameron is different. He has always been there for me since we were both infant because our parents were best friends since high school. He became really popular in high school that everyone gathers around him, leaving me out. But he always tries to find a way to hang out with me at school and at home. They we’re jealous because he’s my best friend. But the person that they are most jealous of is his girlfriend, Alexis, for a year and a half. And I’m one of those people who are jealous.

I don’t even know why I’m jealous. Maybe it’s because we don’t hang much more like we use too anymore. He’s always with Alexis. And when we’re together he always talks about her all day and all night non-stop. And it’s getting really annoying.

To be honest, I do kind of like Cameron but I know that I won’t have a chance with him. He’s muscular. I’m weak. He’s popular. I don’t have a social life. He’s hot and perfect. I’m fat and I have flaws. He’s always accepted to everything. I always end up going back to my room. He always gets invited to parties. The lonely is always inviting me.

The ringtone of my phone makes me snap back to reality. I grab my phone from the nightstand but it’s nowhere to be found. I stand up and began throwing my pillows and my bed sheets everywhere. I ran outside my room and to my brother’s room, Hayes.

“Hayes, have you seen my phone?” I ask him, bursting myself in to his room without knocking causing him to jump.

“Didn’t mom teach you how to knock?” he ignores my question. “What do you want?”

“Have you seen my phone?” I ask again.

“It’s in your hands,” he replies, sarcastically.

“Oh,” I say, looking down to my hand and there’s my phone. “Thanks.”

I walk out of Hayes’ room and back to my room. My bed sheets and my pillows are everywhere. Eh, I’ll clean it up later.

I sit on the edge of my bed and open my message. It’s a message from Cam.

Hey y/n. Can you please come over? I really need you.

I quickly stand up from my bed and began throwing my bed sheets and my pillows back to my bed. I run downstairs and tell my mom where I’m going. I run to Cam’s apartment which is only a block away. I got inside the lobby and I went straight to the elevator. Deep breathes escape my mouth from all the running I did.

I wasn’t really that athletic but when Cam needs me, I’ll be there as fast as I can.

I finally reach his floor and I walk towards his apartment door and knock. After a long time of waiting, someone opens the door and I’m quickly greeted with a hug and sobs. He hugs me as tight as ever and I pull him away from me to see him, crying?

“Cameron, what’s wrong?” I ask, worry about what could’ve been happen. “Why are you crying?”

“Al… Alexis…” he tries but he was stuttering. “S-she b-broke…”
