“People say love at first sight only happens in fairy tales, but when I first saw you, my heart skipped a beat and I’ve loved you ever since.”

Being a new kid in a new town is different. You don’t know how to go around the place. You don’t know anybody. It’s hard to move to a new town, especially for me and today the summer is just starting. I’m always having a hard time to make new friends. I’m a shy girl and that’s why I get bullied a lot. We moved to this new town because my parents found out that I’ve been cutting myself and because of my daily bullying process.

And now that I’m in a new town, I want to start my new life. I don’t want anyone to bully me. I don’t want to suffer from bullying anymore. I want to have a happy life.

I’m already getting bored in my new house and I have nothing to do. I look around my room and I spot my skateboard sitting in the corner of my room. I stand up from my bed and went to my bathroom. I wash my face and change. I put on a denim shorts and a tank top.

Then I notice that my cuts weren’t yet healed. I grab one of my sweaters and wear it under my tank top. I let my straight hair down and look in the mirror.

Why are you so ugly? I thought to myself.

I ignore my question and head to my room. I pick up my skateboard on the corner and run downstairs.

“Mom, I’m going outside,” I shout.

“Ok honey,” she shout back. “Go straight first ok? Don’t turn yet. We don’t know how to go around this place.”

I shout back an ok and I walk outside the house. A warm breeze hit my face and the bright sun met my eyes. I put on my sunglasses in my eyes and got in my skateboard. I start rolling down the sidewalk without making left or right turns.

I didn’t even notice but this town have a really cool places. Museum, malls, and bunch more. Admiring all the buildings around this town, I suddenly fell off my board and land on my front body. I let out a loud groan and sit on my butt. I straighten my legs and my right knee is scraped.

Just Great, I thought to myself. How am I going to get home?

I try standing up but my knee hurt badly. I keep trying to stand up and I finally got my balance. I began hopping out my way then I lost my balance. I fell off my feet expecting to land on my butt, hardly. But I didn’t. Instead, I was catch by two strong arms. A brown hair boy kinda my age or older and an innocent brown eyes caught me. I look at his brown eyes as he looks back and carry me.

“Please, don’t carry me,” I say, nervously. “I’m heavy.”

“You’re pretty light actually,” he smile.

I didn’t say anything after that. Silence took over, a comfortable silence. I wrap my arms around his neck and his smile got bigger.

He walks towards to his house porch and he gently sits me up on the nearest chair he saw. He kneels down in front of me and grabs the first aid kit beside the chair I was sitting on.

He got this all ready? He saw me fell? That’s just embarrassing. But him not laughing at me when he reached me and got the first aid ready before he picked me up makes me want to know him even more and trust him. I want to know everything about him and so if he has problems I can help him, just like him helping me. We can be friends. I hope he’d let me though.

He starts pulling out the hydrogen peroxide out of the kit and put a little on it in a cotton ball. Being the worry girl I am in the entire world, I start shaking. He notices it too.
