Why do straight, cis hetero men feel so damn entitled to us?
They either cat call you, slide into your DMs,
Approach you out of nowhere and ask for your number, or hand them out like fucking business cards,
Or think they can just ask a friend to "organise" you for them; ask for a "favour" to organise you.And don't get me started on them thinking your No means "convince me".
What happened to getting to know a person before trying any such move?
(Also - don't try them)Has society really declined to this level? I mean - I know the answer is yes, but I wish for it not to be this way.
Have we been reduced to so little - that they think they can just have their way with us?
Reduced from being a person with a heart and a mind and a personality to being a thing they feel entitled to.
If only they would see us for more than objects to satiate their fucking whims and desires.
GET TO KNOW US
Get to know the books we like to read;
the shows we love to binge;
which era we love the most;
why we love a particular artist;
how well we can paint and draw and dance and sing!
The languages we speak or the cultures we are interested in;
How some of us can do the things they love - and probably even better.
How we can run a business and sit in the chair of a CEO.
How we can be vice-presidents.So many freaking things!
And while some might enjoy this - that's okay for them - but I do not.
Some of us - do not.
This world disgusts me.
Fuck the patriarchy.
