(Spoilers for The Silver Age are ahead!)

I'm so good at figuring out characters' motivations ahead of time.

SO good.

(This is sarcasm, in case you were wondering.)

Okay, so, some time ago I saw a dub of The Silver Age arc from the Archie Sonic comics. Naturally, I'm interested in (almost) everything about Silver, so I watched it all the way through. I really enjoyed it, and I'm thinking of rewatching it again soon. It's good! ^-^

However, something was bugging me right from the start. Something about Professor Von Schlemmer (Gosh I hate spelling his name, so I'll just call him 'the professor' from now on.).

For whatever reason, right as soon as he showed up, I was convinced he was evil. I can't explain what was going through my head, but it basically amounted to "This guy is absolutely evil. Do not trust him."

I spent most of the dub waiting for the professor to eventually turn on Silver, and was decently surprised when that never happened. (And on that note...WHY DOES IT END ON A CLIFFHANGER THAT'LL NEVER BE CONTINUED...? D:)

Cut to months later, when I was reflecting on this a bit. It struck me as odd that I'd instantly jumped to the conclusion that the professor was secretly evil. Yes, he was acting a bit sus at the beginning, but he quickly ended up to not be so bad. What was it in my head that was screaming at me "EVIL"?

And then it hit me. The weirdest connection I possibly could have made, that ended up colouring my vision of the character for most of the saga.

He looks like Ganondorf.

At least, kinda:

Okay, it's not a 1:1 comparison, but still. Please, someone else say you see it too, so I know I'm not going insane. XD

But what's really  weird about this is...in terms of Zelda games, I basically have only ever played Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity.

Ganon does not take this form in either of these games.

In other words, the most I've ever seen this version of Ganondorf was in Smash, and I maybe play that game every few months. Maybe.

So why, when seeing this completely random character for the first time, did my brain immediately connect these two?

I honestly have no idea. XD

If you've read this far, thank you! It really means a lot that people are still reading and enjoying my stuff. ^-^
