This probably won't interest anyone, and I kinda think it's stupid, so you can just ignore this chapter if you want. :)
Here's the thing: the other day, I was watching the 'Friday with Friends' stream GG Gabriel Gaming did with some friends, and it hit me how much I wish I could do that. I want to have a group of friends who will play Splatoon with me, who actually would enjoy my company and I wouldn't feel stupid talking on recording. I try to do it, but I know literally NO ONE who owns a Wii U and Splatoon. None of my friends even know it exists, and I feel stupid trying to explain it.
I've always felt a love for video games, but also believed it was a 'bad thing' to like them. I basically grew up hearing that they were bad, and seeing a prejudice against them in the society. Naydra and I had some of our best times playing together, but I still felt like it was 'wrong'. Even now, I haven't gotten up the courage to tell some of my closest irl friends that I play video games. That part of my personality becomes almost dormant when I'm anywhere but home, and even my dad doesn't know how much I love the stories, characters, and rich world-building video games have. It's like a dark secret for me. If people found out, they would hate me...or so my brain tells me. I know it probably wouldn't work that way, but all the prejudice I see convinces me to keep quiet about it. Naydra's the only one who knows the full truth of it.
So there you go. One of my deepest buried dreams, one that torments me because I'll never get to do it. Realistically speaking, I'll probably never be able to get Discord because my parents are terrified of it, and I have no irl friends who even know the game exists. It's never going to be. :(
I'm depressing, aren't I? I'm sorry. I'll be more cheerful next time, I promise. :(
