Chapter 17

Since the opening ceremony, Caius has been very busy with his studies and training.

I didnt mind though, we chat and sometimes call through PM and the GC.

I became closer and more comfortable with him since the talk after the opening ceremony.

Today is my mom's birthday and I decided to not go to school since my mom wanted me, my brother, and my dad to spend the whole day with her somewhere.

And by somewhere I mean in Laguna which is my mother's birthplace

"After we stop by the house" pagtukoy ni mama sa bahay namin sa Laguna habang nagdadrive. "Let's go to Tagaytay to eat some bulalo!" She happily said

I smiled and nodded. Kuya was beside me while dad is driving and mom is beside him.

"Everything you want mom, eksakto at cheat day ko ngayon" Kuya Enzo said using a relaxed tone

Hindi ko na napigilang mapairap sa sinabi niya.

"Its always your cheat day" hindi sinasadyang pagsabay namin ni Papa na ikinatawa nalang namin

I leaned on my seat and looked out the window. It was traffic and we are still on the highway.

I didnt know why but I always loved the car drives whenever we go on trips. It just felt more relaxing and I like how I just listen to music while passing the roads.

I was about to put my earbuds on my ear when mom's phone got my attention. When I looked at what she was watching, I saw that she is watching today's UAAP game.

"Oh, may laban pala ngayon UST" sabi ni Kuya habang nakikisilip sa telepono ni Mama.

Mom nodded.

"I saw it trending," saad ni mama, napatingin naman ako sa kanyang telepono.

She decided to put it on the car screens for all of us to watch it.

"Sino kalaban?" tanong ni Papa

"La salle" pagsagot ko, nakita ko naman lumingon si kuya sa akin na nakasingkit ang mata

Hindi ko siya liningon dahil pagbinigyan ko siya ng atensyon ay tiyak na mang-aasar lang yan

"Hindi ba iyan ang tumulong sayo nung nabaril ka" sabi ni Papa habang traffic

Itinuro naman niya ang picture ni Caius na ngayon ay nakalabas sa screen.

I quietly nodded.

"Walang duda at napakagwapings ng Montefeltro na iyan" pagpuri ni papa ngunit hindi ko nalang iyon pinansin

"Zamora...Zamora on the move, passed it to Montefeltro OHH for 3!" Rinig ko sa isang commentator

Napalakpak naman si Kuya habang ako ay napangiti nalang. Nang tignan ko ang laro sa screen ay nakikipagapiran si Caius kay CJ habang tumatakbo.

He actually told me about today's game and was about to invite me together with Cha and Nicole.

Ngunit tinanggi ko dahil may lakad kami ngayon. Si Cha naman ay hindi ko na alam kung tumuloy habang si Nicole naman ay kita ko sa story niya na nasa laro siya.

May nakita pa nga akong picture niya kasama si CJ na nakapost kanina pa. Bago pa siguro ang laro nang kinuha iyon.

"Tutok na tutok ha, kala ko ba hindi ka nanonood ng basketball" pang-aasar ni Kuya

I rolled my eyes at kuya's tease

I face kuya with my lips protruded.

"Says the guy who took STEM cause it's nice to hear," I said
