Nang makita ako ng guard at sinabi ko ang pangalan ko ay agad niya akong pinapasok ng building
Wearing my casual business suit. I park my car in the nearest park space near the elevator. Pagkalabas ko ng BMW ko ay agad akong binati ng mga taong nadadaanan ko.
"Bonjour Madame" bati sa akin ng isang french guy who is one of the team heads of my company.
"Bonjour," I said before walking towards the elevator. Pagbukas ng elevator ay agad bumungad ang 4 na babae na naka office outfit
"MADAME!" they said in sync
I smiled and nodded at them after that I walk inside the elevator. From their accent, I knew they were one of my Filipino workers here in my company.
"magandang umaga po" nahihiyang sabi nilang apat
I looked at them and smiled.
"Good Morning," I said
Hindi pa nakakarating ng 2nd floor ay nagsibabaan kaagad ang mga babaeng kasama ko. With their heads down, they said.
"à bientôt, madame [See you, madam]" they said in sync again and shyly walked out of the elevator.
Napanguso naman ako at saka napatingin sa mga taong naghihintay kanina sa elevator na ito.
"vas-tu dedans? [are you going in?]" I asked them nicely
They awkwardly smiled and shook their heads. I pursed my lips and nodded before pressing the close button of the elevator
Was I intimidating?
4 na taon na akong naninirahan dito sa France at tatlong taon na simula nang mamahala ko ang kompanyang ito na orihinal kay lola.
Despite the years, im still not used to this boss-type life of mine. If only I had a chance to start at the very bottom, I would but since a new chief was needed during the time of my reign, I didnt had a chance but to govern this company.
I sighed and was about to press the president's floor when I noticed it wasn't there.
How stupid of me, sira nga pala ang elevator ko.
