1"Ryan, you have to come through on this!" The mysterious girl's soft brown eyes pleaded with him.
The trouble was, Ryan had no Idea what she was talking about. And this dark haired girl, cloaked in a black dress, hadn't bothered to explain either. He only stared at her blankly, as the wind ripped through her hair. Yet, there seemed to be hints all around that Ryan Dart's life was about to change-for better or worse.
The entire sky was flashing electric charges as the wind bowed the line of small trees along the road. This particular area of this Midwestern city was dark, especially with an April storm approaching. The street lamps lit the road incrementally, yet, the buildings, set in shadowy recesses of small lots, residing directly across from the modern two story library, were hardly visible.
He stood at his car, ready to leave the Brown County library, as this mysterious girl, the same age as him, stood underneath a streetlamp on a Green Bay city sidewalk.
She had known things about Ryan: things that he hadn't mentioned to anyone. For instance, the fact that he was researching sturgeon spearing and was looking for three tid bits of info.
Ryan, despite not knowing this pretty girl's purpose, liked her. Her brown eyes were earnest. And when she flashed a friendly smile, her cheeks dimpled. He wanted to know more, but the conversation had been one sided.

"Sturgeon Spearing huh?"
Ryan had brought his eyes towards the voice, having been jarred from thinking of his reasearch paper.
His mind was scrolling the list of questions in his head, determining which one to ask first. Yet, he dumbly stated. "Yeah"
The girl scrunched her face in mock disgust. "Such savagery."
"It's an assignment. I'm not actually going to spear a fish, plus they do that in the morning... and in the middle of winter.... when there's Ice on the lake."
She laughed. "Yes, I know."
"Wait...how did you know what I was looking for here?"
Her smile disappeared and she pursed her lips, obviously contemplating something, as she held herself steady from the wind's assaults. "You'll figure that out soon enough. Well, if you come through on this, Ryan."
Ryan's head cocked, wondering what she meant. "I did a pretty bang up job on the research, should be at worst a C."
She smiled broadly, revealing dimpled cheeks. "Not even remotely what I meant."
Ryan's mouth gaped, 'What could she possibly mean then?' and, as his voice was weak. "Who are you? Wait, How did you know to find me here?..And how do you know who I am?"
"You're questions will be answered. If you come through on this." Her face was stern but earnest, "Ryan you have to come through on this!" She held here gaze for several seconds, pausing, imploring Ryan to try.

Ryan Stared at this young lady, as no words were spoken. Somehow, he knew his life was about to change. She then turned and glided from the light, with a sauntering sway, seemingly impervious to the strong winds around her.
Ryan's head was inundated with questions. They flew through his mind. There seemed to be no purpose for this meeting.
Yet, Instead of asking what she was doing here, his mouth uttered the most important question, well at least to Ryan. "Hey, you're kind of cute, aren't you going to tell me your name?"
She stopped in mid stride, took a deep breath and turned with a wry smile fixed on her face. "Mr. Dart, You have a lot to learn." As a hand gathered her wayward hair that was harried by the wind, she turned and sauntered away. Ryan watched her disappear and reappear under the street lamps, until she was out of sight.
