Alicia woke up, the cave was dark, but Ramses was not up. I must have woken too early, I still need to practice sleeping at day. Ra stretched and climbed down the ledge he was resting on. He grunted a good morning at her and stretched his wings.
Alicia decided to do Ramses a favor while he slept and polished the saddle. When she finished, Ramses was repainting his arm. Alicia aproached him and painted her arm.
"Weren't up too long, were you?" Ramses asked as he painted the green band on his arm.
"Not as bad as when I was first here." Alicia smiled and painted a brown band on her arm.
"That's good." Ramses said and called Ra over.
Ra looked at him quizically and approached.
"Oh I wouldn't hurt you. Come here, let me paint something on your forehead."
Alicia continued painting the bands of colors on her arm. She paused after painting the light blue next to the red. The IceTribe and GrasslandTribe. An alliance between them, but why? Alicia finished painting her arm, still pondering over the two tribes. She turned to look at what Ramses had painted on Ra's forehead. It was a green four leaf clover.
"There, all done." Ramses patted Ra's cheek.
Ra wagged his tail and bounded over to the water. He looked at his reflection. He roared softly with delight. Ramses slid the saddle on Ra's back as he admired his reflection. Alicia grabbed the bit and reins and approached them as Ramses tighten the strap around Ra's underbelly. Ra looked at Alicia and opened his mouth. She slid the bit into his jaws then handed Ramses the reins after he slipped into the saddle. Alicia pulled herself into the seat behind him. Ra pushed himself off the ground and glided out the cave.
They flew out into the crisp, dark night. Ra swiftly flew out past the mountains and along the bank. Alicia desperately searched for the hidden MountainTribe, but no matter how hard she looked, Ramses always saw it first. I don't understand how he does it so easily, it's like looking for a fish in the bottom of a lake.
Ra landed softly and quietly. Ramses went and spoke with Jaro for a little while. He returned and slid into the saddle like everytime before.
They flew up past the mountains to The Permafrost. Alicia shuddering remembering her first visit to the cold land and her talk with the cold Chieftan. She looked at the calm, untouched snow, which was much more pleasing to the eye to look at at night. Ra hissed at the snow as he landed. Ramses patted Ra's neck after he and Alicia had slid off. Without hesitation, Ra took back to the air.
They walked quietly to the Chieftan's igloo. Ramses peered in first, then turned back and whispered to Alicia, "Avalanche is asleep. "
Alicia giggled. Such a powerful dragon, isn't she? They quietly tiptoed past Avalanche and found Orka at a table flipping through books. She looked up at them a solemness in her eyes.
She spoke quietly," Avalanche has been fatigued lately. I'm worried for her."
Alicia felt a pinch of sadness if her heart. I would love to help you, if you explain your alliance with the ruthless GrasslandTribe.
Ramses spoke as quietly as Orka, " Maybe Chieftan Taia could help."
A hope flashed through her eyes, "Could you bring back whatever helps, tonight?"
Ramses glanced back at Alicia, "I'm not sure, if anything it would be this morning."
Orka stood from the table and approached Ramses, "Please, please, just bring it as soon as you can."
