Alicia was seven now, a big kid. At least that's what she thought. Her mommy said otherwise.

Today, Mommy said Alicia could help at the river. Alicia threw the skins off her and bounced off the bed. She bolted to Mommy, who was making breakfast in the kitchen.

Alicia sat at the table and tapped her fingers on the wood, "Are you almost done?"

Mommy laughed, "Alicia, dear, you don't have to rush. You've asked me that four times."

Alicia giggled, "Are you almost done?"

Mommy sighed, but Alicia saw her smile.

She brought over a bowl with fish stew in it, "Eat as much as you can, you'll need the energy for your busy day."

Alicia ate until she felt full and rubbed her stomach, "It was delicious, Mommy."

"Be careful, Alicia." Mommy warned her as she got out of her chair to leave.

"Nothing bad is gonna happen." Alicia waved goodbye to Mommy.

She bolted out towards the edge of the Tribe. This is where the dragon pens were. The RiverTribe used dragons to help them catch food at the river. She ran faster as she came closer, but ran into Tanu.

Tanu made an umph sound as they collided then said, "Up so early, Alicia?"

He helped her up. Tanu was good friends with Mommy and the Tribe's dragon pens boy.

"I'm here to help!" Alicia exclaimed.

Tanu nodded and smiled at Alicia. He opened the door and pressed a finger to his lips. She walked inside, practically bouncing in place with excitment. Alicia had never been this close to a RiverDragon, or any dragon at that.

Tanu removed the cloths over the windows. The sun revealed more rooms than Alicia could count.

"How many dragons are there?" Alicia tried to count each room.

"We only have seven. Want to meet mine?" Tanu rubbed Alicia's head, putting hair in her face.

She nodded excitedly and fixed her hair. Tanu led Alicia down the hall and opened a door. Alicia peered inside. A large dull green slightly blue dragon was sleeping soundly in the corner of the room.

"Wait here, I'll wake her up." Tanu quietly approached the sleeping dragon.

"Alli? Wake up, you have a visitor." Tanu patted her head gently and rubbed her neck, "Come on, Alligator."

Alligator exhaled through her nose deeply then swung her tail around and knocked Tanu into her. Alicia giggled. Alligator's eyes opened, revealing fully black eyes. She stared at Alicia.

"I told you, you have a visitor." Tanu stood up and tried to pull Alligator up.

Alligator stared at Tanu and blinked slowly, as if mocking his useless attempts.

"Are her eyes supposed to be like that?" Alicia pointed at Alligator's colorless eyes.

Tanu nodded, "Unless they are underwater. They put a film over their eyes to see in infrared."

Tanu left the room. Alligator stared at Alicia, who stood staring back. Alicia wasn't sure if she was scared, or amazed. She took a step closer and extended her hand out towards Alligator. Alligator stood up exposing a smooth blue underbelly. Alicia quickly lowered her hand startled by Alligator's sudden movement. Tanu entered the room with a bucket of catfish. He walked up next to Alicia and set the bucket down.

"Do you like Alicia? I think Alicia likes you, Alli." Tanu took a catfish out and held it up.

Alligator sniffed the fish and opened her mouth. There was no teeth.
