"Isn't that the cutest." An unfamiliar voice said.
Blister swept from under Alicia. Alicia's body slammed to the ground. Dyvahn appeared over her with a hand extended.
"Mornin'" Dyvahn helped her up.
A woman instantly started brushing Alicia off, "You kept this poor girl in this shack."
Dyvahn turned to Blister, who sat in the doorway staring out.
"Look at Mr. Softy." Dyvahn poked the dragon in the side.
Blister snapped his head at Dyvahn with a glare. He snorted then looked back out.
"I'm sorry my son has no manners." Dyvahn's mother said softly.
Alicia shook her head, "If he hadn't saved me from the Arena, I don't think I'd be in a better situation."
Dyvahn blushed. Blister snorted a chuckle and shoved Dyvahn into Alicia.
"Sorry." Dyvahn said and scooted away from her.
He smacked Blister on the side. Blister snorted again then left with Dyvahn following.
Dyvahn's mother grabbed Alicia's wrist and fled from the shack.
"I'm Julie, you are Alicia, correct?" His mother questioned.
Alicia nodded. She stared ahead as they approached a large stone building.
"How did you get into the Arena?" Julie asked skeptical.
Alicia walked through the door Julie held open for her. "A man and some of his buddies captured me and my friend. I was knocked out and woke up in the cell."
Julie shook her head and closed the door behind her, "I'm sorry, since Rei became Chieftan, it doesn't seem anything has gone right anymore. What were you doing here?"
"My friend and I go to each tribe and bring messages." Alicia explained.
Julie nodded, "Hungry?"
Alicia nodded her head excitedly.
"Sit there." Julie pointed at a table with four chairs.
Alicia sat and waited. She kicked her feet impatiently. Julie turned to her and smiled. For a moment, Julie looked like Mother.
Julie put a plate with two eggs in front of Alicia then sat across from her. Alicia controlled how she ate this time. She ate quietly and looked around the room while she chewed. The house was much neater than the houses in the RiverTribe. It was also much more roomy. Alicia's kitchen and room would have fit in Julie's kitchen.
Julie stood and took the empty plate from Alicia, "Do you have a dragon?"
Alicia shook her head, thinking of the multiple times she had tried to find a dragon for her.
"Would you like me to get Dyvahn back here? I can have him show you the FireDragons." Julie asked with a smile.
Alicia nodded.
Julie walked outside the door.
"Dyvy!" Alicia heard his mother call for him.
Alicia waited patiently. Dyvahn walked through the door.
"What do you want?" He whined.
"Your mother said you'd show me around." Alicia said.
"Be nice to our guest, Dyvy." Julie said as she walked past them into another room down the hall.
