ONCE BOTH SIBLINGS got downstairs they headed to the hallway where the smell of newly cooked breakfast was. Ones they got there they were greeted by a note on the fridge and prepared plates of breakfast.

Ryoko blink and was a little dejected thinking she'll have one of those stories that were told to her by her babysitter, where her own family will eat together and send those who're going to school.

Ryouta must've sense his sister's depressed aura when she saw the note. How can she not, when this started to be a routine when she was just a couple months old? Ryouta knew that his sister was smart and can easily read the aura ones aura. All she wanted was a normal family, not that family where almost everyone was busy and they won't even notice the change in their own household until one member can't take enough of it.

"Ryokocchi?" Ryouta called out making the little Kise walk to him without looking at him.

He sighed but didn't think anything of it and hoisted her up to her highchair putting her own plate infront of her. They both started eating peacefully, Ryouta helping her eat ones and a while so she can eat properly.

He didn't know why but his sister was awfully quiet. I mean she's quiet everytime, yes but not this quiet. Nevertheless he just brushed it off, maybe she was just thinking about buying some candy, or even play basketball with her brother. For Ryouta he would want Ryoko to choose the latter.

...

"Onii-chan!" Ryoko was now currently having a tantrum. Gripping tightly on Ryouta's uniform pants.

"Ryo-Ryokocchi.." Ryouta smiled sympathetically at the middle-aged babysitter to which she waved off with a smile and pointed to the corner if ever Ryouta needed her to stop Ryoko from running after him.

"nii-chan *hic* n-no leave *hic*"

Ryouta's situation got even harder knowing his sister wanted his company instead of other people. To add matters worst Ryoko's cries became louder than before.

"Ryokocchi I'll just be gone in a couple of-"

"No! No! No! Onii-chan no leave!" She cut in shaking her head in denial and Ryouta wasn't even surprised if she became dizzy.

"What has gotten into you?" He whispered to himself furrowing his brows at the change in behavior of his sibling. But hearing this made the girl flinch thinking he was disappointed.

"No. no. no. Onii-chan" She cried harder and while keeping her tears at bay, but tears were stubborn they keep flowing down her cheeks.

Ryouta patted her head. Which made her wipe her tears thinking he was gonna get mad at her.

"Tell you what, when I come back we'll play basketball together."

Ryouta smiled sweetly at her but to his surprised she still didn't let go.

Ryouta was getting himself late for every second passing about how can he pry off Ryoko without hurting her feelings.

"Ryoko-chan." Aoi, the middle aged woman who was her babysitter called softly to get her attention away from her brother. "Ryouta-chan will be late for practice if he didn't come now."

By hearing that, made Ryoko frown at herself looking down at her feet for being selfish and not letting her brother play what sports he loved the most. But would it be too selfish for her to not want her brother to leave her alone and think she left him like their own parents who're not often at home. Her lips wobbled and eyes make another fresh tears rolling down her chubby cheeks. Her head was hang low, ashamed of what she did.

"Alright Ryokocchi I love you I'll make it up to you by-" Ryouta stopped talking when he saw that his sister avoided his touch like she didn't want him to. His heart drop at the rejection. He was about to pull her into a hug when she sniffed looking up at him.

What he saw almost made him just want to stay home. Almost. But that's also not the right thing as they had a practice match today after school so he might be a little bit late. He saw fear and sadness in those familiar golden orbs of hers.

He didn't know why but this must be because of her missing them.

"I'll come back-" She didn't let him finish his sentence anymore instead she turned her head to the side making the male sigh and waved goodbye to Aoi to which waved back.

Ryoko watched as her brother wore his shoes keeping herself from crying and wanting to run after him but she still stood her ground. Not wanting her brother to be disappointed at her for stopping him go to school.

He waved one last goodbye to her until he shut the door behind him.

Aoi could only watch in dismay. She has been taking care of Ryoko ever since both their parents started getting busy. She knew that sometimes when they were both alone, the girl will be running to the living room where a large window overlooked their street whenever she hears a car driving by. She sometimes ask herself why would the little girl run all the way to the livingroom whenever a car passed by, that's until she had the courage to ask the child herself to which she was answered by "wait okasan, otosan home."

Just a simple answer made the woman's heart squeeze. She waits for her parents to come home even though they rarely were home.

. .

Currently it's been 6 hours. 6hours that Ryoko was still waiting at the door. Aoi started to get worried because she hadn't made a move to even eat her lunch yet.

"Ryoko-chan~ do you want some m&m cookies?" Aoi asked wanting to distract the girl but she didn't answer, Aoi furrowed her brows and walk over to the girl.

Her eyes widened when the girl started to shake and her face started to turn different colors.

"Ryoko-chan?"

"RYOKO-CHAN?!"

That was all Ryoko heard before she welcomed the darkness and was envelope by warm arms.
