No, no this can't be happening.

"He's my son, why? What has he done?" Constance asked the officers.

"Alright, make entry." they said quickly.

Tate looked up at me, like the real Tate was trying to come through, but he was overwhelmed with the spirits. I made myself invisible to the public, so Tate could no longer see me. I could hear hurried footsteps rushing up the stairs, and Constance was yelling for mercy.

"Please don't hurt him! Let me talk to him, please just let me talk to him! Tate!" She yelled as the officers broke through the door, "Tate, no please, he'll go peacefully! He's just a child! He's just a child!" she kept screaming his name.

Tate slowly stood up, with his hands in the air. The cops had lasers pointed right at his chest, he just needs to abide with them, no matter what. He can't die in this house. It was heartbreaking to see such a turn of events, I got a good look at him seeing as it was going to be the last time I see him.

Tate stood there, with a plain expression, but slowly began turning his hand, using his index finger and his thumb and making it look like a gun. Then he pulled the 'trigger'.

It was almost as if he was telling them to do it, and that was disturbing to see. Tate suddenly reached for something underneath his coat, what the hell is he doing? He pulled out a gun, and all at once, the cops fired.

I screamed, watching him being shot repeatedly and repeatedly was destroying me to my soul, they stopped, as he fell backward onto the bed, and onto the floor right before my feet. He was still breathing, I had to get him out of here before he dies.

The leading cop walked over to him and asked, "Why'd you do it?"

He stuttered, as if he was trying to get a word out, and then he just stopped. Tate was gone. I couldn't even describe the feeling, it was soul crushing, even hearing Constance's screams as she found out what just happened to her son. I heard the cops ask for her to come to the station for questioning, leaving just me and Tate in the house.

I knew he was going to become a ghost eventually, which ruined me. He wanted to live a good life, be someone successful, but that's been torn away from him. It still kills me that he hurt those poor kids, but I know that the house did it to him, he didn't deserve to die.

I got down on my knees and sat down beside him, I didn't know how much longer I could see him like this. Moira came upstairs and said she'll sort out the body, leaving me alone. It never normally took this long for someone to become a ghost, normally they're at least able to see their own body. Constance might move out, like my parents did after I died, after all it would probably overjoy Tate, although now he has all the misery of being dead. I still hadn't taken in what just happened, I started panicking over everything. Tate was dead, he's going to be a ghost, stuck here forever. He knew that, he knew if he died here he wouldn't be able to leave, so why would he be so quick to make that decision?

I didn't know what to do with myself, I couldn't help but feel that I caused this, he went downhill once he found out I was dead. His life just got more and more miserable until he just broke.

I stood up, and sat down on his bed, just waiting. Ten minutes passed and I started thinking that he just didn't want to see me.

"Y/n?" A voice said.

"Tate? Oh, hey Moira." I said feeling disappointed.

"Come downstairs." She said softly.

"I walked into the kitchen to see Tate. He walked towards me and pulled me into a hug. I could hear muffled sniffles,

"I'm so so sorry, y/n. I don't know what came across me, I don't hate you, you know that?" he sobbed.

"Yeah, yeah I do." I said back, and brought him into the basement for privacy.

"Tate, I understand that the house did this to you, but why did you kill them? The kids." I asked.

"I... I don't know." he stuttered, "I'm so sorry, for all of this."

I nodded, and told him about everything, all the hints of this house, the ins and outs of being a ghost.

"So that's why you only invited me out on Halloween, it's the only time we could leave." he inquired.

"Yeah, I'm sorry this happened to you, Tate. You didn't deserve it." I replied, "Now you have to know, killing isn't rare in this place, but don't do it unless there's a reason to do so, you got that?"

Tate nodded, solemnly.

"Do you think my mothers moving out?"

"I'm not sure, my parents did after I died. She hasn't told Addy, I don't know how she'd react if she found out you were gone." I said to him.

Just as I said that, a woman wearing clothing from the 20s and well styled hair appeared across the basement.

"Where's my baby?" she said.
