"Excuse me?" I said standing up, confused of who she was.

"I said, where's my baby?"

"I'm sorry, I've never met you before. What's your name?" I asked her.

"Nora, what have they done? What have you done to my house?"

"Pardon me?" I asked, "You're Nora Montgomery, original owner?"

"Yes, Charles built this house years and years ago, but it's changed." She said with an upset expression.

"I'm sorry about all this, Nora. But according to history your baby died here, wouldn't it just be a ghost too?" Tate asked.

"I can't find him. I want my baby." Nora replied.

"I wish you luck, Nora." I said with a smile, and mimicked to Tate that we were going to leave. We walked up the stairs and Moira had just replaced the sheets in Tate's bedroom.

"Woah, hold on." Tate stopped in his trail, looking at Moira, "What, why aren't you..."

"Oh!" I said with a laugh, "This is a long story, come upstairs let me explain."

We got to Tate's room and we sat down.

"Basically, Moira makes herself look young and attractive to keep men here. Yes, I get that it's confusing, but this entire time everyone else has seen her as an old woman, apart from you and Larry." I told him. He looked slightly shocked but just laughed.

Constance just arrived home.

"TATE!" she yelled, "I KNOW YOU'RE HERE, TATE!"

"How does she know?" Tate asked.

"I have no idea." I took his hand and pulled him downstairs.

"Tate! Tate." Constance yelled running towards him.

"What do you want?" He said plainly. This made Constance looked a little saddened, I'm guessing she thought her son would want to see her.

"I wanted to see if you were okay?" She said sharply.

"When have you ever cared, mother?" Tate asked, strongly. He walked off and went back upstairs, Constance tried to follow him, but I held her back.

"Hey, you have to give him space, he's just gone through something pretty traumatic, and I don't know if he can remember how he died, just the events leading up to it, so don't mention it to him. Also, how do you know that he's a ghost?" I asked her.

"I made someone in this house a ghost, one which you get along with quite well..." she said with a slight smile, "Tate's father didn't just leave him, I killed him. He was cheating with that skanky maid, so I shot him."

"Wait, Moira? You killed Moira?" I asked, feeling shocked.

"Oh yes, but she had it coming after cheating with my husband." Constance muttered.

It all made sense now, why Moira didn't want the Langdon's to move in, she was killed by one. Guess it runs in the family.

"Adelaide and I are going to be moving next door, to be with Lawrence. I'll be visiting time to time to see my son."

"Constance, I don't think that's necessary. Tate needs to adjust to the changes before even interacting with the public." I said.

Constance rolled her eyes and walked out the door, "We'll be out by next week."

"So the evil monsters gone then?" Tate said, walking down the stairs.

I smiled, "You know, Tate. I think she does care about you, more than she shows. You should maybe give her a bit of slack."

He shook his head, "I don't think so, she's always been this way, just caring about Addy. I guess it's because she's the oldest or something, I'm right in the middle."

"Yeah, I get you. Let's go outside, get some fresh air." I said to him. We sat on the wall of the porch, smoking cigarettes and just having a good time. Then Marcy appeared, with a huge for sale sign. This just means Constance is leaving, this made Tate smile, but it made me annoyed once again. Another family's gonna have to go through what the both of ours did. It's so unfair that Marcy keeps selling this place, she knows what's happened here, and all she wants is the money.

"What do you think the new ones'll be like?" Tate asked.

"I'm not sure," I said back, "there's always variation between the families, according to the other ghosts, the only family I've seen move in is yours."

"Mmm. What do you even do for fun around here? Isn't it boring being stuck here all the time?" Tate inquired.

"Trust me, boredom is what you feel the entire time you're in here, considering the rest of the ghosts are much older I've never really been able to relate to any of them."

"Well now you have me. I'm not much of an entertainer but we may as well try to have some fun round here." Tate said happily.

It's weird to see him change so quickly, I think he's putting on a bit of an act, he still feels the way he did before he died but doesn't want to show me.

"Yeah." I said with a laugh. I pulled out my MP3 player and put on some Nirvana. Tate was humming along to the song, and by the end of it we were both singing and laughing.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

When the song finished a car pulled up outside the house, it was the cops. Tate panicked.

"Hey, it's okay. Just say in your head that you don't want them to see you, then you'll bush disappear from their view." I told him.

"But what if they still see me... they can't see me." Tate said.

The cops just walked straight past us, and into the house, wanting to speak to Constance but she'd already left. They came outside again, and Tate wanted to cause some trouble with them. He slammed the front door, right as they were about to reach it and yelled,

"Y/n! Help me keep this thing shut!"

I ran over with a smile and stood beside him, with my back to the door.

"Hey, open this door!" They yelled from inside. This made us laugh even more.

"On three, just step forward from the door, okay?" Tate said.

"Got it." I smiled.

"3...2...1, go!" Tate cried.

We leaped away from the door, and the cops clearly had all their weight on the door, so they fell straight forward and on their faces, they were really confused as to why there was no one there, but just left anyway.

Ten minutes later, another car pulled up, they rolled down their window and looked at the for sale sign.

"Hey, Patrick. This one looks cool!" a guy with dark hair said.

"Oh yeah, write down the number, we'll book a viewing." The other said.

Tate and I turned to each other, and I knew these two just booked the appointment, checking into their doom.
