They were not thrilled to meet me. And yes, he actually did mean the dead ones at the graveyard but he spoke of them like they weren't. Like the delusional idiot he was.

As we enter the graveyard Me-Crazy joins us. She only acknowledges Alanche for almost killing her by spitting in front of his sneakers, and he clicks his tongue back at her in annoyance.

Me-Crazy looks at me. "Want a bubble gum?"

I'm already so sure that she fudged with it and I'll probably die if I put it in my mouth. "Sure," I take a stick and put in my mouth. Don't die. "Thanks."

She smiles. "I wouldn't have actually kissed you before, not until you did something about that breath."

"Oh," Before I start chewing I take a test against my elbow of how bad my breath really is. "I've probably not brushed my teeth in three days."

"You've only been with us for two days..."

"I know, but before that we were on the highway for a while and I didn't brush them there either."

"Nasty."

I blow a red-coloured bubble and she watches it expand before poking it with a finger. "Boom," She says, leaning in.

My eyes widen because I don't expect it right then and there when she presses her lips against mine. I feel her tongue coursing through my mouth, licking mine and then my mouth is suddenly empty again.

She pops a bubble twice as big as mine, probably because she had twice as much. Mine included. Since she probably already knows what my opinion on that is, or should be, I don't comment on it. Also it kind of excites me.

A cool breeze passes us and despite the location being a literal graveyard with the bodies of perhaps dozens of dead girls all around us, it feels like every other day in summer. Im thinking of collecting a bunch of daisies and making flower crowns off them, exchanging them with Me-Crazy, maybe leaving the spare flowers on the graves when theres a sniffing noise coming from our right.

We turn our heads where Alanche is crouching in front of a roundish grave, tears pouring from his eyes.

"Oh my, is he okay?" I say.

"Yeah. He still can't get over some skanks death," Me-Crazy says.

I look at her and wonder if she knows that Alanche is planning on actually killing her and is not just playing around like a mean older brother. She has always seemed pretty unfazed about everything so it was hard to tell what would put her off and what would slide right off her like it was nothing. My eyes drop a little lower.

"My eyes are up here." She says all too quickly.

It must've been the weather but suddenly it starts feeling like I want to be my kidnappers kidnapper, shifting the roles or taking back the karma. Whatever it was, I take one step backwards and look her up and down. Asking, "I bet you get drunk really fast, being a lightweight."

"So?"

I almost snort because she actually got offended at this, but push it back. "Let's get a drink or something. We can walk to a bodega, I'm sure this place is not stuck in space right?"

Which really, it did. I could look barely farther than a yard from where I stood because the view was either covered by branches or buildings towering into the sky. I was actually starting to worry it was the kind of place that once you entered you could never leave, like hell or a loophole. I really hope it wasn't anything like that, though Me-Crazy seemed entertaining enough to keep you occupied for a while if not longer.

Alanche had started moving farther into the grave where he was bend over, plucking old weeds from the overgrown soil. We could escape together and this way survive, even if it would be totally justified if I wanted what Alanche had out for her. I've figured he would make me do it, just like with the guy back at the mansion. John, I think. So Alanche could drop an order any time and that would be the end of Me-Crazy.

"He said he'll kill you," I blurt out and I don't know why I did.

Me-Crazy glances over at him. "Nobody kills Me-Crazy."

"So, is that a yes?"

Me-Crazy rolls her eyes.
