Smoke bellowed in the night sky, as the blearing sounds of traffic swallowed up the infinite crackling and spitting of flames.
A small house, away from the hustle of city life cannot even be heard by the sleeping neighbours. Never mind drunks or ruffians that might pass by.
Trembling hands banged on the wooden door in desperation, her futile cries called out for help as the grey smoke swamped the lone woman inside the small space.
Dancing red curls provoked her endlessly, shrouding over her. Her pitiful shrieks and the smell of burning flesh filled the air but were ignored in the imaginary laughter of people's cheers and chattering.
Her nails bled as she tiredly scratched at the locked door, her skin blistering and bleeding as she rolled on the ground and waved her arms around stupidly.
Eventually choking due to the lack of air, she slumped to the ground as the flames assaulted her scalp and face, her bleeding fingers slipped in the gap under the door and cooled her hot fingers.
A brief mention on the late night news revealed that the cause of death was a result of faulty wiring. The land lord an ex-gambler had hired someone cheaply, resulting in the accidental death of Eira. An 18 year old orphan girl and former kendo champion.

"The young master has gone missing!" The nanny shouted with bated breath, slapping the arms of one of the knights to get him to go and search for him quickly. "Especially in the Demetrian woods, the young duke if we don't find him quickly- he could get seriously hurt!"
Otherwise with the wrath of Grand Duke Heinrich who was only a loving man to his wife and son, they'd all lose their necks.
However Fredrick the mischievous Young Master, at this moment was staring with sparkling blue eyes at the snow around him. He who lived in the Arcadius Empire, where the lands were fertile and warm with sun was seeing snow for the first time.
In the north it is said supposedly that the divine power in the air is richer and so suitable for rehabilitation, which is why the duchess Sylvia is residing here. Who having a naturally weak body is still recovering from side effects of child birth including: fainting, nausea and vomiting.
Listening to the crunching of his boots in the snow he smiled, reaching out to touch the long icicle that stood on the branch of a willow. His flushed face from the cold with the shiny ash brown hair that stuck up in places was particularly charming and cute.
"Nanny, Sir Edward!" He shouted looking behind him, his smile dropping gradually only seeing his own footsteps from where he could see. "I'm lost...uuu"
Clenching his coat as thick droplets of water pooled stubbornly on his lower lash line refusing to fall, the eight year old boy whimpered uncertain of what to do.
"I'm sure I told the wolf cubs to be quiet when I'm sleeping." A lazy voice drawled, annoyed by the sound of crying. "What happened now?"
She grumbled annoyed.
Fredrick who was startled with widened eyes, vigilantly finds a pathway between the curtain like branches, the snow falling on to his shoulders and small head.
Making himself known with a sneeze. The girl who opened her misty dazed eyes, looked at the boy with confusion.
"Ah?" She muttered in confusion as the barefooted girl in a white, silk dress looked at him.
That's right Eira had reincarnated.
In some kind of stupor he looked back at her who looked around the same age, shrouded in a veil of an ethereal white. Her untamed white hair in natural curls hung to the snow littered floor, where she slept at the root of the tree. Staring interestingly with pearlescent, bright eyes like the moon.
"Why do people like to stare so much?" Asking with a frown, looking at how the tips of his ears went red.
"You shouldn't be here." He said approaching and tugging her hand.
"This is my home." She explained raising a brow, inelegantly raising her dress to reveal cute white feet. "I think you're the one who's lost kid."
Ignoring him as she pulled out a piece of fruit from the pocket in her dress, she walked a head of him and took the lead.
"Aren't you cold- you're not even wearing shoes!" He exclaimed. "Also you're also a kid."
She looking at him with a smirk, wiping the pink juice stains off her lips as a loud growl came from his stomach.
"Catch." She said as he looked focused on the small handful of fruit in his hands.
Brushing away the tears from the side of his eyes, he leaned back shocked at the adult sized woman her lips curved slyly.
"Heh." Tapping his forehead, she reminded him.
"You were crying."
But before he could say a word in response-
"Young Master Frederick!!" He heard the masculine shouts approaching. "He's over here!"
Seeing Sir Edward he was happy, but when he looked back he was stunned.
If not for the light warmth from the fruit he held in his hand, he would have mistaken it for a dream.
