Walking down the steps of his throne, the dazzling gold long sword making a sinister scraping sound as it collided with the marble. Augustine's unrepentant face looked at the emperor arrogantly, his bright pink eyes full of hatred for the woes of the past.

Being held back by his aid who translated what was being said to him,his sight appeared to be blurred noticing the vast amount of fog.

"Augustine."

A crack appeared on his face, swallowing his anger the feeling of panic swept through him.

"Who is this?" The emperor looking at his face knowingly, smiling harmlessly like a beast watching it's prey get stuck in its trap. "An intruder..."

Stepping forward he walked down the plush carpet leisurely with the intention of personally greeting his guest, ever so carefully.

A crunching sound under his unstable feet, that slipped against the ground in his leather brogues.

"Call for back up, we must protect his majesty!" The Kings guard rushed in loudly with the clanging of steel.

An outline of a figure in white rushes beside him speedily, flexibly adjusting its posture and dodging his outstretched leg.

Brushing his long locks into his face as the mist seemed to subside, pools of water on the marble floor was all that remained.

Staring at the bewildered gaze of the Captain, raising his brow with interest.

"Sister!" He chided as she grabbed his shoulders apprehensively, speaking in human tongue.

"Are you injured?" Checking his face and body for injuries, despite he being the older one. "That beasts roar- you didn't hear it?"

"I'm fine!" He grabbed hold of her, whose back was facing the emperor. "Sister what's wrong with you?"

"I'm telling you I heard the sound of a murderous beast- from here." Adamant that she didn't intrude on purpose.

Seeing the emperor so close behind her, he pulled her behind him. His tall and proud back hiding her from a hungry beast doused with bloodlust.

"A beast... what kind of joke is that?" He humoured, his thick and masculine voice laced with interest. Strangely not feeling as angry as he thought he would.

"What kind?" Asking trying to look over the shoulder of Augustine, despite being in the presence of an encore of royal knights.

"... A lion perhaps." The soft voice muttered quietly as if she had thinking about it all the while, melting a layer of vigilance in the emperors heart.

A head wrapped in the hood of a white cloak, peeked cutely in a gap creating in Augustines hanging arm.

"Why would there be a lion in the throne room?"
He asked coldly, his eyes swirling with a whirlpool of emotions.

"I don't"- An anguished growl resounded loudly, with the heavy banging and thrashing of metal chains.

Carmen whose body stiffened, clenched his jaw as he gave his command. "Go to the temple immediately, If there is so much as hair out of order I will kill you myself."

"Yes your majesty." Filing out of the throne room as the sounds got closer, Eira not paying attention to the fixed gaze the emperor had on her.

Behind the throne was another door that was strictly used for the Emperor, which directly connected to his palace and was usually guarded by no one due to the Emperor's decree.

Having no intention on helping the brother and sister, he just watched indifferently waiting for her shrill screams as blood soaked claws pierced through the door desperately.

Even tossing the sword to one side without a care.

Following by a a river of blood, the ugly and mutilated lion came in menacingly and roared at the top of its lungs.

The eyes threaded with a bright scarlet, reflected the figure of Eira in his sight and thrusting its body forward, pounded the marble forming thick cracks.

Heading straight towards her without hesitation.

'It Hurts.'

Looking at the disgusting creature, that ran at her spreading the smell of rot, she pushed her brother away from her and looked at the beast discerningly with condescending eyes.

'Save Me.'

Stopping just before her to see the unkind eyes hidden in the hood, Eira pulled and twisted on Helio's ears with anger.

"No."
