"How many did you want?" She asked firmly.
Groaning Eira climbed high up a peach tree growing within the temple, they only relying on the produce grown within the lands given to them by the Empire.
"Three! Sister get three." Chuckling she listened to the sweet babbles of the child Silas, Dahlia was carrying in her arms.
Abandoned by his parents a devout believer found him and sent him to the Temple, who've looked after him since, due to the child's red eyes he had been starved and beaten since.
Possessing holy fire he is a valued asset, that some people can't help but be afraid of. So immediately they formed a strange group, which Eira had secretly named the lonely kids group.
Jumping down from the tall tree with a mischievous smirk, her hair and clothes fluttered hearing their exclaims laughing, she stood before them victoriously water swirling around her and cleaning up the muddy stains.
"Eira stop being reckless, you're teaching Silas bad things."
"I'm sorry." Making a blade out of ice, Dahlia slapped her forehead seeing his sparkling eyes, slicing the juicy pink fruit in half and handing them out to everyone.
Just as she was about to take her share, Eira bit into nothing her eyes widening with confusion. She stiffened listening to the lazy and unapologetic voice.
"It's delicious, Can I take some on the way back?"
"Who are you? This is no place for outsiders." Dahlia exclaimed weakly, unable to suppress a yawn. Dark under eyes making it clear of her inability to sleep.
"I've come to see my friend Eira."
Looking at him with a distorted face, she raised her eyebrows with a warm feeling in her heart as Dahlia defended. "The Temple is no place for mages."
Standing in front of her in a protective gesture.
"It's okay, take Silas and go for a nap you look tired. Although he's not my friend he works for the Empire." Whispering in her ear, Dahlia stubbornly tugged at her clothes making sure that no one could easily find out her identity.
"All right, but come back soon." Waltzing away haggardly, her beautiful face turning a little grey.
'It's almost time for her awakening.'
"You've been enjoying yourself, who would've thought you enjoy climbing trees like a ruffian."
"Is there something you need Elijah." Biting into the last Peach, he watched as the sweet juice trickle down the pale skin of her chin.
"The Emperor wants your magic tested, perhaps to help teach you to better understand your Ice Magic in preparation for the hunting competition."
"Why would I join a Hunting competition?" Shrivelling up her nose in disgust.
"I'm also going, Why not come with me?" Extending a hand out to her, dark eyes closed in a handsome smile.
"No."
Teleporting her away to the magic tower, she almost retched covering her mouth with two hands and threads of white slipped out of an oversized hood.
"Do you feel better now?" Tapping her forehead with a gloved hand, a comfortable warmth washed over her immediately making her able to take a deep breath.
"You couldn't tell me? You said we were friends."
"But you didn't even greet me, I didn't even get a congratulatory hug for becoming the head of the magicians tower."
Crossing her arms over her chest she squinted with a grunt, "Aren't you trying to use me? You called me your pet!"
Sighing he removed the large black cloak revealing a slender body, dressed in a long purple tunic. "You're too powerful to be my pet", 'Also I think the Emperor would kill me without a thought if I did that.'
"You crazy guy." She whispered sullenly.
"Huh? Some people would call that genius, you noob."
"What did you say?!" Pulling on his cheeks and his hair aggressively, the two fighting like children.
"Ah, it hurts, Eira let go of me before I become bald."
"Say sorry first- say sorry!" Bloodshot eyes smiling with vengeance. "I'm a sensitive person so you have to treat me right."
"I'm sorry! Sister~" He muttered with cocquetry, mimicking Silas.
"You-!" Grabbing hold of her hand that was about to attack him again he placed it on a glass orb.
Immediately the burning heat, she felt from her hand made Eiras whole body tremble. Trying to fight him off and pry her hand away, Elijah used magic to hold her down firmly. Heart rate increasing and breathing becoming shaky and uncontrollable, anger surging through her as she bellowed.
"Let Go of Me!"
"We're not finished." Changing into a deep ocean blue, the whole orb soon was surrounded in thin hair like cracks. "Just a bit more!"
Shattering as a wintry chill enveloped Elijah office, the orb broke a part with a loud crack, cold water flooded the floor.
Touching the broken pieces of glass, the inside covered with a thin layer of ice.
"You're a dual attribute, usually the attributes fight for favour in the blood vessels... I didn't expect this." Eyes wise with fanaticism, murmuring words and long sentences she either didn't understand.
Tugging hard on Elijahs collar, Eira released a sound similar to an animalistic growl, her irises glowing silver and the rims of her eyes bloodshot.
Covering the area between them with a suffocating aura.
"I told you to let go of me, Elijah why didn't you listen to me?"
