Nibbling on a macaroon as the waves of her long white hair drifted with the breeze, sitting on a blanket in flat shoes Eira watches as the little fae spoke animatedly.

"These humans are so weird, I tell you the last emperor abandoned his wife just so he get it on with that desert bitch."

"Why are you swearing?" Her face burning in embarrassment whilst trying not to laugh, turning her head making sure no one was nearby.

"I heard that she was a powerful woman-a prophetess in her own country that could make heavy rain fall and sandstorms."

"Is that true?" Invested in the story, as pink petals from the cherry blossom tree near by tangled in her hair.  "You little gossip."

"Haha." Using her pinky finger to light prod the bulging belly of Lina a flower fae, who liked to secretly steal cookies crumbs off peoples plates.

"Of course it's not." A grumpy looking male fae said with annoyance. "I told you a human might see you someday, some of them might not be as nice as this one!" He scolded.

Eira looking at his shirt and trousers that had been made from a leaf, his olive green eyes staring at her with interest.

"That woman lied- she was colluding with demons to make her illusion magic more powerful." Ginger explained, always glancing at little Lina occasionally.

"That Red haired woman was special, funnily enough the King never possessed a spirit but she did." Opening her palm out for him to rest on he continued. "She was blinded by her love of him and he ended up taking everything from her as well as her spirit."

"How tragic." Muttered Lina heartlessly getting the large chunk of chocolate all over her hands and small mouth .

Unable to stop she laughed, a pink flush appearing on her cheeks making her look even more lovely.

"Lady Eira?" Someone called making her flinch, brushing off the crumbs on her skirt with unease.

Standing up with the help of a maid, she looked at the ash brown hair and blue eyes.

Ah! The Male lead. Shit.

Dressed in a fluttery white dress embroidered with pink flowers, she bit her lip and curtsied quaintly.

"It's a pleasure to meet your grace."

A pink satin ribbon around her waist made her look even more delicate, like a goddess stuck in the human world.

Making Grand Duke Frederick most definitely certain it was she who he met all those years ago.

Bowing gentlemanly he responded to her, "It is pleasure for me as well, Lady Eira." His blue eyes soft with warmth, somehow startling as she turned her face away.

Finding her behaviour irresistibly cute like a child guilty of wrongdoing, "Were you talking to someone? I thought I could here someone mumbling."

"Um," Holding on her forearm wondering why he was talking to her in the first place.

Didn't she show in her posture how much she wanted to be alone?

"I was talking to.." Not knowing how he would respond to her telling him she could talk to fae and spirits, because most people would think they were lying or joking around.

A flower crown made of various flower types suddenly appeared on her head.

"Were you talking to fairies?" He asked surprisedly, considering they're notorious nature for trickery.

"They were gossiping about the people in the palace." Taking it off her head sulking internally. "Generally so."

"I wonder what your doing here in the palace, since I'm sure you live far in the north." He spoke amiably with a velvety quality, like attracting a moth to a flame. Urging her to speak to him.

"How do you know that?" She asked him surprised, raising her voice a little that made her eyes glisten with longing.

"A boy got lost in the Demetrian woods... 10 years ago and he met a little barefoot girl dressed in white like a nymph." Retelling the story that no one had seemed to believe, his heart racing a little.

"She gave him something to eat because she heard the way his stomach growled and lead him somewhere, to his surprise his nanny managed to find him. But the girl who suddenly turned into a woman vanished."

Chuckling awkwardly into her fist revealing a hidden dimple, he relished the bell like laughter with greed.

"Are you that crybaby?" She smiled at him mischievously, watching him as his face heated up like a young boy in love.

"You're face is red again." Coughing awkwardly in response, strands of hair messily tickling his forehead. "But you've grown rather tall, I'm jealous."

"Lady Eira has become more beautiful than the last time I saw you." Her head tilted to the side, unable to not see the gradual blush and abashed expression.

A blossoming flower and the sun that attracts its attention, Grand Duke Frederick held back the impulsive thoughts standing by his gentlemanly demeanour like the wolf in a sheep's clothing he was.

'I want to hide you, you're so cute, if you stay here I can do anything for you.'
