"Hey hun," Clarissa greets me as I walk into her office. " Good morning," I respond, trying my hardest to be cheery and push the past few hours behind me. "Oh, honey where's your ring." She asks noticing my bare finger.
" I caught him fucking Mindy from the sports department." Her jaw drops to the floor as she blinks repeatedly. " Oh, that's not ok. Mindy was always too invested into your relationship anyways." She tools her eyes as she claps her hand. "Well, I have good news to wash out the bad."
I could use some good news right now.
" I was on the phone with Christian and he wants you to have your old job back." I'm already jumping out of my seat in excitement." You're not fucking with me right now, are you? " I ask as I lean forward.
"No Karma." She laughs," I know you enjoy London but you've always been a New York girl at heart. As sad as I am to lose you, I know that you are in good hands and will help Christian whip NY times back into shape ." She smiles softly ." I'm going to miss you ." I say holding back tears for the thousandth time in the past twenty - four hours. " I'm going to miss you more Karma Ali, and if you ever decide to come back over the pond, just know there is always a spot for you here." We get up and hug each other for a cool minute before there is a knock on her door.
"Alright, you have the rest of the day off to get your affairs in order." I walk out of the business and immediately text the girls group chat.

one month later
"Are you bitches ready " Siobhán yells from her room.
Since we were all moving to New York together we just decided to move in together. Luckily for us, Valencia's dad owned a Penthouse in the city and since he barely uses it, he is allowing us to stay in it.
Tonight we are heading to Club Euphoria. It was one of the hottest clubs in New York and the girls just had to experience it for their first time out.
I threw on an all-denim outfit that consisted of a corset top and denim jeans that flared at the bottom. I went with a bronzed makeup look and a red lip. My hair was slowly freely down my back with a little gel to keep it from frizzing.
With one last look in the mirror, I grabbed my wristlet that held my I.D, Credit Cards, and lipstick before leaving my room.
" You look so fucking hot ." Valencia squeals as I walk down the stairs and posed. " Yes Mama" Siobhán hyped me up." Imagine being an incompetent dumbass and cheating on Karma ."
"You know I just can't imagine cheating on such sexy ass women like her. He just couldn't handle the heat." Valencia stated as she stared at her maroon-colored nails."Agreed." Siobhán said as I snickered at their antics. "If you can't handle the heat..."
"Then stay out of the kitchen." We all shouted as I walked towards them."I love you guys."
"What's not to love ." Valencia smiled as Siobhán shook her head.
