But this time I'm engaged to the man I am endlessly and irrevocably in love with.
I felt like my heart was about to burst with the happiness and excitement that I was feeling as Alessio kissed my face for what had to be the thousandth time tonight.
" I'm so happy," I breathed as I stared at the ring on my finger. It wasn't my dream ring but it was perfect. It was me in the form of a ring.
" I'm so glad," Alessio mumbles as he pressed his head against mine," I'm so glad that you are happy and my fiancée, soon to be wife."
My cheeks started to hurt from how much I had smiled so far tonight. I leaned in, connecting my lips with Alessio's for another kiss. As he wrapped his hands tightly around my waist, a dark cloud fell over my head as my brother, Rafi, cleared his throat.
" May I help you?" I questioned as I turned in Alessio's hold.
Rafi looked taken aback as Alessio kissed my forehead, excusing himself so that we could talk. " I was going to congratulate you on yet another engagement to a rich white man, but I guess I'll just keep that to myself and ask which one of these beautiful ladies here tonight is single."
Of course his head is in the gutter like always.
I chuckled, happy to bestow upon him the news that none of the women in this room are single." None of them are. Alessio has two sisters and they are engaged, anyone else in this room is married or with one of his brothers."
" What about her?" Rafi whined as he pointed to a figure that was clinging closely to Jagger.
Awww. He invited Juliette.
She looked gorgeous tonight and was all smiles as she clung to Jagger's side. His hand was wrapped protectively around her waist as he chatted with Antonio and Abby. Juliette looked slightly nervous but nodded and smiled along anyway.
Juliette complimented Jagger quite well.
She wore a black round neck spaghetti strap dress that paired perfectly with his black button down and slacks.
They were so cute.
" She's taken too, Rafi," I pinched his cheeks," Plus all of these women are way out of your league. But don't worry, I'm sure there is some poor girl out there that will willingly take you in as a charity case."
Rafi sends me a glare as he crosses his arms," I hope that you trip down the aisle and eat shit, Karma."
I gasped as Gabriel and Nayyir joined us.
" What has the idiot said to offend you now dear sister?" Nayyir mused as he wrapped his arm around my neck, bringing me in for a tight squeeze.
I sighed into the hug before responding to his question. "He whispered the worst thing that he could ever wish upon my wedding day," I pouted as Gabriel frowned.
