I stared at the bandage wrapped arm as his back was turned to me.

What the fuck did they do last night?

I know he wasn't at a club meeting. None of them were dressed for the club. I've seen what they wore to the club firsthand and that wasn't it.

"I should be home earlier tonight," he turned around and slid me a cup of coffee. I hummed as I took the coffee and eyed him skeptically.

"How's the arm?" I asked setting the mug down. He hesitated for a second before he turned around." It's fine, just a scratch."

I narrowed my eyes at him and nodded my head.

"What exactly happened?" He let out a sigh before placing his palms on the counter."An incident at the club happened. It's fine K, I promise." He came around the counter and stood in front of me.

"Do you trust me."

I don't know.

"I want to." I tell him honestly.

I'm not going to lie and tell him yes because that would be hypothetical of me to ask him for complete honesty. I want to trust him— I do, but he has been so secretive and lying still.

"K," Alessio's hands come up to my face. I turn my head to get out of his grasp but his grip only tightened causing me to keep still.

"I promise you that everything is fine." A breath of air leaves me lips as I nod my head."Okay."

I trust him— at least that's what I told myself.

"I'll be upstairs in a minute." Alessio pats my thighs as the doorbell rings. I hop off of the chair and make my way to the stairs.

"Hey."I could hear Anthonie's voice as Alessio welcomed him in the house. They were speaking hushed whispers as I walked up the last few stairs.

"Did you tell her yet?" I paused at Anthonie's question. I stopped in my tracks and hid behind the wall. I shouldn't be nosey but...

Tell who what?

"Keep your fucking voice down,"Alessio rushed out." And no. I haven't told her yet."

"You need to tell her Ale,"Anthonie's voice rose higher. It sounded like he was getting aggravated with his younger brother.

"There are entirely too many threats against our family right now and she doesn't need to be used as leverage to bring us down. Do you understand?"
