"Jee Nano."
"Your mamu called me yesterday."
"He's your son too, Nano."
"My son, yeah. Who calls me twice an year."
"It's okay nano, you have me."
"Meri beti." Nano hugged her letting out a sadistic laugh.
"Udaas nahi hua karein aap." Zimal comforted her.
"Udaas nahi pareshan hoon." She pulled back, making Zimal lay her head in her lap.
"Amma! Tell me, what happened?" She sat back again. A lot more concerned this time.
Nano sighed. "Your cousin, Jibran Ahmed is coming here."
"So, why are you getting stressed out for nothing."
"They asked for your proposal. For him." Nano informed her.
"You gotta be kidding me right now." Zimal's eyes shot open hearing her out.
"I'm serious, Zimal."
"How can they even?-" She lost all her words while Nano sat there mute.
"You don't worry. I'll say no to him when he comes here. Khud hi bata dega apne maa baap ko." Nano said after a while.
Zimal let out a sigh of relief laying down in her nano's lap again. Nano caressed her hair gently giving her the assurity that she won't let anyone enforce their decisions on her. She knew that Nano has got her back. She also knew that nobody can make her do anything in life expect her. She was this one person that had raised her with so much love when everybody left her. She was her hero. Her saviour.

It was the day Jibran landed in California. Zayan was out of the city for some work so he had no idea about him. Zimal was so busy with cafe that she sent rumi to pick him up.
It was hard to find him at the airport but she did anyway. Now they were on the way to get Zimal's apartment. Rumi was in the driving seat while Jibran in the passenger seat kept pestering her unknowingly with his random questions and humour. They stopped by at a gas station when he got out of the car to get water from the store near and she called Zimal immediately.
"Your cousin is stupid. Jeez."
"You are no less."
"Stop taking your cousin's side Zim, imma fight."
"Text me when you reach the apartment."
"Ugh, 15 more minutes with this guy. I already can't."
