Those sudden knocks at the door kept getting louder and crazier by the time he got out of the shower after the engagement function. Folding the sleeves up-to his veinfull arms, he strode towards the door. It was Nano. The creases on her forehead were an indication that something was wrong, so wrong.
"Have you seen Zimal?" Nano asked gathering the last pieces of her shattering hope together.
"No. Must be with Romessa somewhere."
"She isn't. She's not here. I've looked for her everywhere." Her voice cracked in the end as an uncertain fear made its way to her eyes in the form of shedding tears.
"What do you mean, Granny? Let me see.." He was about to head out to find her when Nano stopped him extending an arm in his way.
"She has left." Her voice tightened the noose of fear around his throat.
Zimal has left? No, she can't leave like that.
"No. Let me see-" He was being adamant that he would find her.
"Nobody knows. Don't ask anyone, I don't want anyone to know that she has gone somewhere because she wasn't feeling well."
"She wasn't feeling well?" Every atom in his body tensed up as he stood there bullheaded.
"You know that better." A faint smile touched Nano's lips
"She must be down somewhere, I'll just see." He tore the gaze away, absurdly, not wanting the red in his eyes flash out his orbs.

"Hello, Granny! Is there any friend of hers that lives here? She must've gone to her place, maybe? Send me the adres-"
"She doesn't have any friend other than Rumi."
"It's okay.. I'll find her. She must be here somewhere, just don't worry."
He cut the call in haste, not wanting to prolong the conversation.
Where are you?
Where are you?
Zayan tried to stay calm but the creases forming on his forehead and the veins oozing out of his arms were a clear indication that he was failing. He was failing to keep his sanity intact. It's been only twenty minutes that he was out in search of her and he wanted to find her already.
He looked for her on the nearest roads to the place they were staying in, she wasn't anywhere. He went ahead and drove the car to the farthest places in search of her but she was no where to be found.
Only him and his God knew how much he was trying in that moment to keep himself calm and composed. How his eyes yearned and implored for that woman. He just wanted to find her sound and safe. Was that too much to ask for?
