*FLASHBACK*

She didn't meet him for days. She'd keep herself occupied even when he visited her home a several times. She was avoiding him as if doing all of this would make him stay somehow. It was a day before he was about to leave Pakistan that he visited her again at her home. This time he came there with Mr azhar as he used to call him. He was going back home from a meeting in another wing of the school when he asked him to take him along and he didn't have any problem with that. Azhar Ali knew that Zayan and Zimal were very good friends, he didn't trust anyone with his daughter ever but him and the reason he didn't know himself.

On the way he told Mr Azhar about how Zimal wasn't talking to him because he was leaving. Azhar Ali thought he'd make her meet him this time and comfort her somehow with something she likes, but lowkey he knew it wasn't that easy. But he also knew that Zayan had to leave and get settled with his late father's elder brother Usman Ibrahim in USA. Zayan was taken care by his uncle and he called him dad instead as he didn't really have the memories of his own. His parents left him when he was 2 years old in a car accident, he was present in the accident too but he survived somehow.

His uncle adopted him legally afterwards. Usman Ibrahim was a business man, his business kept him so occupied all his life that he never got married. But he found his family in Zayan. He could hardly make any time for him being a single parent and the reason Zayan went to the boarding from a very small age was the loneliness he felt being at home all alone with some care takers. He never liked that. Now that Usman Ibrahim settled all his business in a foreign land, he had to take his son with him too. But Zimal at the age of nine with almost five years to their friendship now was too young and innocent to understand all of this. She wanted her best friend to be there. They had planned Zimal's birthday together which was going to be in 2 months from now but he was leaving now and Zimal thought it was unfair to her. But she also forgot that it was Zayan's birthday the day he was leaving and he had no intentions of reminding her that. He was turning fifteen soon. They had a five year gap in their age but it never became the hurdle in their friendship as he was more like a protector for her. And now that he was leaving he was concerned like a guardian for her.

They got out of the car after parking the car in the garage and went inside. Azhar Ali was welcomed with a warm smile by his wife as he stepped inside. Zayan's eyes searched for Zimal standing there in the hallway, but she wasn't anywhere.
