"Oh hey," I said as I fixed my dress in front of the mirror.
"Hi," she replied, walked in my direction, and stood right near me.
"Can I help you?" I asked, still looking straight at the mirror.
"Actually, yes, you can," she said as she rested her hand against the sink, "you can start by staying away from Sebastian."
"Why?"
"I don't like you and, I don't like the way you guys danced together."
"Look, Myra, you have nothing to worry about," I said and turned to her, "you guys are already dating."
"I don't like it when people look at what's mine," she said as she leaned in closer to my face.
"He's his own person," I mentioned, "and I think you should be talking to him about your trust issues."
"Just stay away, and I won't make your life hell," she said with a smile and turned around and walked out of the bathroom.
As much as I wanted to clap back, I realized that there wasn't anything for me to fight for. Despite Myra being very unnecessary dramatic, she was the sign I needed after five months of waiting for Sebastian. But I covered my heartache and walked out of that bathroom with my head held high and celebrated my friends for the rest of the night. Sebastian couldn't even look at me, and Myra just gave me dirty looks.
By the end of the night, Anthony and Chris come to my apartment so they could get ready for the after-party.
"Are you sure you don't wanna come to the after-party?" Anthony asked me.
"Yeah, I'm sure," I replied.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Chris said.
"Yeah, Y/N, come on." Jane insisted.
"I'm good, guys," I told them, and that's when Jane and Anthony pulled me to my room, leaving Chris with Alice, and asked me what was wrong.
I broke down crying, telling them everything that happened from the dance floor to the bathroom.
"So you see," I said, "I just don't want to see any of them."
"I'm gonna kill her," Jane said, outraged about everything.
"Please don't let Jane kill her," I told Anthony.
"Do you want us to stay?" Anthony asked.
"No, absolutely not," I insisted, "tonight is your night, Mackie. You deserve to go crazy after all your hard work."
"Are you sure?" Jane asked.
"Yes, now go have fun!" I giggled despite the tears, "and tell Chris I said bye, please."
"Alright," Jane said and hugged me tight, "we'll tell Alice to come up after we leave."
"Thank you," I said and they went.
After I heard them leave, Alice came into the room. I laid my head on her lap and told her everything while she stroke my hair and calmed my nerves. Alice always knows what to say to help me feel better.
"So, are you going to let him go?" Alice asked.
"I don't know Alice," I told her, "I like him, but being his friend hurts. What do you think I should do?"
"I think you should take a beat," she said, "focus on yourself, do what you want to do, see who you want to see, you know?"
"Maybe I should."
"And for God sakes Y/N," she continued, "you have Chris Evans begging to go out with you if you don't I will!"
With that comment, I broke out in laughter, "poor Lewis."
"Shhh, don't tell him," we both laughed, and I rested my hand on her three-month-old belly.
"You're gonna be a great mom," I said with a smile.
"Thank you, my love."
After some time, Lewis came to pick up Alice, and I just like that I was alone in my apartment, feeling way better but still thinking about everything. I laid on my bed watching the city skyline and admiring the view, reflecting on what I wanted and feeling extremely corny for having this moment. Nevertheless, I went to sleep that night thinking about Prague and all the good moments.
