3 Weeks Later

As time goes by, things don't necessarily get any better. I was still in Boston and Sebastian was still filming in LA. His filming had been going well which made me very proud, but my downfall was seeing paparazzi pictures of him and Myra. I just had to suck it in and keep supporting him from afar.

When it comes to my "homewrecker" situation, as it goes in Hollywood, news changes every minute, and a week ago everyone had already forgotten about the whole thing. But I still choose to stay for longer to explore this newfound inspiration that came with the space around me. The connection I had made and found with nature and new people around me, made me feel new and improved, despite being alone most of the time.

When I wasn't working on my music and myself, I was with Chris and his family or with Zoe, my neighbor and they helped me through some low times, especially Chris. He was always there for me and was ready to cheer me up no matter what.

"I swear he likes you," Jane said over the phone.

"I think he is just being helpful Jay" I replied.

"I mean sure he could," she agreed, "or maybe trying to get into your pants."

"Haha very funny, may I remind you I'm still with Sebastian," I mentioned.

"Ohh yeah," she giggled, "How's that going?"

This is a tough question because I soon discovered that long-distance doesn't work with a working actor for that long. We only had the chance to talk a few times a week and it wouldn't be for that long, but I tried to keep a positive attitude and just support him until I was ready to go to LA and be with him.

"It's going well," I responded trying not to look so down about the situation.

"See," she started to explain, "the advantage of being your friend is that I know when you're lying, but I'll try not to duel on it too much."

"That would be great," I said, "How's Mackie by the way?"

"He's right here."

"HEYYYYYYYY," he yelled from a distance, "can I have the phone?" He asked Jane.

"Hi Mackie," I giggled.

"What's up girl?" He asked now with his voice closer, "long time no see."

"Yeah, I decided to run away from my problems, remember?"

"I know, I hope it's doing you good at least."

"Yeah, it actually is," I told him.

"But seriously," he paused, "you and Evans?"

"Ugh.."

"Hey I can hear those eyes rolling, don't give me attitude," he said which immediately made me laugh.

"He's just being a helpful friend Mackie."

"If you say so," he said, "Just know that you can only have one of my friends and not all of them!"

As always the conversation with both of them was all laughs and sharing life updates. Anthony and Jane were living together at this point and were going to Atlanta soon so he could start his new project. Their relationship seemed to be going perfectly and that made me think about how not so supportive I was being to Sebastian and by the time I got out the phone, I was searching for plane tickets.

knock, knock

"Come in!" I yelled and the door crashed open to reveal a very soaked Chris Evans.

"Do you need an Umbrella?" I giggled as he gave me a sassy side-eye look and I laughed hard.

"A tree fell on the road that leads to my house," he explained as he removed the top layers of clothes, "do you mind if I hang out here for a while?"

"Not a problem," I said, "let me get you a towel and some dry clothes so you can take a warm shower."

"Yes please."

Thankfully Sebastian left some sweat pants and T-shirts, so I quickly grabbed those and showed him the shower before he could get the whole house wet.

"Thanks for the clothes and the shower," he said as he emerged out of the bathroom fully clothed and drying his hair with the towel.

"It's not a problem," I mentioned and continued to browse on my computer.

He put the towel to dry and came sat next to me on the couch, "what are you doing?" He asked.

"Looking for plane tickets."

"Leaving me already?"

"Well, mostly considering," I said, " I think I need to let you live your life instead of keeping you busy" I mentioned which made us both laugh.

"Are you kidding me?" He asked kiddingly, "you are my escape from being in a home full of people, I enjoy having you here."

As he finished talking I looked at him to see him smiling at me. His eyes were staring deep into mine, the background sounds of the pouring rain seemed farther away and just for a moment, his gaze felt warm and bright, full of optimism and care. He looked at me like how anyone truly in love would look at his or her lover, and just when I began to melt, he places his hand on top of mine started to move closer to me.

Just as I realized what was about to happen my eyes widen, and my mouth opened as I wanted to let out words, and then it was pitch black.
