Dylan's POV
Ashley explained to me last night the events that occurred at school. At first, I got a little disappointed by keeping me out of the loop but after her explanation, I understood. My current state was so delicate that they didn't want me to worry.
Dad also explained that he already had our private 'army' on discreetly on standby as he let the authorities do their job. Besides, he told me that both Jill and Nick was there and he trusted their skills and judgements.
"Hey sweetie..." Ashley came in from our walk in closet. "I'll drop Mikey to school then proceed to the hospital. Are you going to be okay?"
"Yes. I don't feel sick anymore. I haven't vomited since last night and the dizziness is gone."
"Good. Let me schedule an appointment with Mary for you. Just to be sure." Dr. Mary Grace Smith was our O.B as well as her colleague. She also worked at our hospital.
"Sure. Just let me know."
"Okay. I'll be assisting in a surgery today so if you need me you know where to call."
I nodded. "Go. You're going to be late." She kissed my lips and retreated back downstairs.
"Ma! I'm going." Mikey appeared, hugged and kissed me goodbye like he always do before and after school.
"Study hard little man!" Even though my morning sickness has laid low, I still feel a little week so I went back to sleep.
Mikey's POV
The scent of bleach could be smelled before I even reach our class room. The blood covered tiles had been thoroughly cleaned that our class room smelled like hospital.
Some of my classmates were already in the room and it seemed like they were arguing about something.
"Hey! There he is!" Ed, one of my close friend yelled. "Hey Mike!"
"Yeoh Ed! What's up?"
"We were talking about your mom. She was so cool yesterday. I heard Mr. Ollie earlier that Ms. Hilda is going to he okay. The teacher's been talking about her."
"My mom's just doing her job." I smiled proudly for my mom.
"I wanted to be like her. What she did was so cool!" Ed said.
"Me too!" Jaime added. She and Ed were my two best buddies.
"Then we need to study hard." I replied. "I saw mom's books. They were all thick and heavy. She said that she read and studied all of them before she became a doctor."
"Your mom might saved Ms. Hilda but my dad saved us all." We turned around and saw Chloe walking towards us. "You saw how he jumped at the man and fought him."
I heard how my mom told her dad that what he did was stupid but knowing Chloe, I needed to pick my words. "Your dad may have attributed to our rescue but his action put our lives at danger. We're lucky that the gun didn't went off and hit any of us."
"My dad said that he knew what he was doing and were in complete control of the situation."
"Okay Chloe... whatever you say." I decided to drop the issue and sat at my desk.
After the bell rang and Mr. Ollie came. He was out Math teacher. "I will be your advisor until Ms. Hilda recovers."
"How is she?"
"She's going to be okay." He then looked at me. "And it's all thanks to your mom. She might not be able to make it weren't for Mikey's mom. So please tell your mom our deepest gratitude."
