"So, what are we doing for your birthday?" Ali's voice came through the phone and Wren sat on face time with her mother. Wren groaned, "I don't even know, today isn't even over yet and everybody was driving me nuts at school today," she huffed. "First, the cobras tell me they're throwing me a party, and then Hawk tells me he has a special surprise planned, and now you're coming to visit and Halloween is literally right around the-" Wren stops, her eyes widening.
"Oh my god the Halloween dance is literally this Friday and I have not even thought about an outfit or anything. I completely forgot,I have to go call Eli, I love you I'll call you later!" she kissed the air, hanging up on her mother.

"Johnny, I am going to the mall w Hawk, Tory and Miggy, do you need anything while I'm out?" she asked the man who was watching a movie on the couch.
"I actually have a date in about an hour, so no, what time will you be home?" he looked at the girl. "What time will you be home?" she teased, sticking her tongue between her teeth.
Johnny rolled his eyes, "hardy har. I was actually asking in case I wanted to.... have a night cap," he replied, insinuating in tone.
Wren scrunched up her nose, "how about you text me how it's going and then I will just go stay at Hawk or Torys or even across the way with Miguel?" she offered.
"Sounds like a plan kid, what are you going to the mall for anyway?"
"Halloween dance is Friday and we forgot to get costumes."
"I'm glad you put more focus into karate than everything else," he stated, half serious.
"yeah yeah...." Wren paused at the door, "hey uh, so when hawk and I finally have sex, does that mean I get to kick you out the apartment for the night?" she questioned, half joking, mostly being a smartass.
"Get out before I ground you for a comment like that," Johnny deadpanned. Wren snickered, leaving the apartment, knowing Johnny did not make empty threats.
