Wren sat the next morning at breakfast with her mother, picking at her pancakes. "Are you sure you can't stay just a little longer? " she questioned, looking up at her mom.

"I've got to go back to work, but hey, we had fun this week, and I know you're in good hands with Johnny, and your friends I've met seem really nice, especially that one fellow you kept making eyes at," Ali teased with a smile. "Is his name really Hawk?"

Wren rolled her eyes, her cheeks turning pink, "Its just a nickname, his name is Eli," she muttered. "And yeah, he's cute I guess... " she looked down at her food.

"You guess?" Ali mused, "and what do you guess this boy thinks of you? Because, I think Mr. Eli Hawk likes you," Ali continued, "I might actually like him better than any other guy you've ever been friends with, besides Robby of course. The karate kids seem like a really nice group of friends you have."

"Robby's basically my brother, he's family," Wren looked at her mom with a smile. "And yeah, they're really great, I'm glad I won't be starting school knowing nobody."

After Wren and Johnny dropped Ali at the airport, they headed back to the apartment complex. "You wanna watch a movie?" Johnny asked as they got out of the car.

"Okay, but can I pick this time? I really don't think I can watch another Rocky movie," Wren pleaded with a laugh. Johnny shook his head, " Those are classic movies!" he insisted. "Put in the popcorn, I'm going to check the mail," Wren told him, walking toward the mailboxes.

She fiddled with the key, making a mental note to get the landlord out to fix this piece of shit lock. "Finally!" Wren exclaimed, opening the mail box and pulling out the few envelopes inside, hoping one of them contained her school schedule for next week. She closed the mail box, locking it, not paying attention as she turned around, looking at the envelopes instead of where she was going, and smacked right into Miguel.

"Shit!" Wren exclaimed as she dropped the mail, "Sorry I-" she stopped talking as she realized who she had run into. "oh... hi," she muttered, bending down quickly to pick up her mail. "I will get out of your way."

Wren and Miguel really hadn't talked since Aisha's pool party, the whole group of course had karate together and hung out a bit over the past week here and there while Wrens mom was in town, but he still hadn't spoken to her since that night.

"Wait..." came Miguel's voice from behind Wren. She turned around to look at him, "I just wanted to say... I'm sorry. I was your first friend here and I treated you really bad cause I was confused about my feelings, and then I was even worse because I didn't even apologize and I've been avoiding you and I shouldn't be cause you're such a nice person and you were just trying to make me feel less uncomfortable around my crappy other ex girlfriend and I was just embarrassed and I didn't know what to say like sorry I thought you were pretty and I kissed you? That just sounds so stupid coming out of my mouth right now and-"

"Miguel," Wren spoke, cutting him off. " I forgive you," she stated, walking back toward him and throwing her arms around his neck to hug him. He smiled, hugging her back, giving her a little squeeze. "And I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable in any way," she added in.

"You didn't, I swear you didn't," he insisted. "But thanks."

Wren returned back to the apartment, ripping open the envelope that held her school schedule , her eyes scanning over it. "Well, what's it look like?" Johnny asked, opening his hand up from where he sat on the couch. Wren snapped a quick picture of it before she handed it to him, pulling up Hawk's name in her phone.
