Part 5

POV: Thomas

I woke up earlier so that I can go to the lake and see the beautiful girl again. I got ready and my two guards followed me towards the stables. The stable boy made my horse ready so I was good to go. I climbed on my horse and off we go.

After an hour ride we got reached the lake. I got of my horse and walked to the same spot I was yesterday, hoping that she would come and sing another song.

10 minutes gone,
20 minutes gone,

but after around 30 minutes I was waiting I heard a voice, actually two voices. First I saw a little girl and then the girl I saw yesterday. The little girl took of her shoes and went in the water.
'Is that her daughter?' I thought but when she also stood in the water the girl said her name, loud enough for me to hear: Alice.

Alice, what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl I thought. Well atleast it is not her daughter who would call their mother by her name? Maybe it's her sister? I watched them again and they had a water fight, I heard her laugh for the first time it was a beautiful sound. I could listen to her laugh for days. Then she filled the buckets with water and they put back on their shoes. They both walked back from were they came from.

"Guards! I want one of you to follow those two girls and without being seen. I want to know were she lives." I commanded, one guards nodded and took off after the two girls. I went back home with the other guard.

I waited nervously in my room untill my guard comes back. What if he didn't find her and got lost? My thoughts were killing me untill someone knocked on my door. "Come in!" I said, the door opened and the guard came in with a bow. "I found her, she lives in a farm house in one of the tiny villages. It's a 20 minute walk from the lake." He said, I was so happy I found her. I told my guard to go and I started on the invitation for her. Tomorrow is the ball so I made sure my guards will go to her in the morning. I gave my invitation to one of my maids and she made sure the guards will give it to her.

I fell on my bed full of happiness, Alice. That was the only thing I could think, Alice.
