Part 22

POV: Thomas
Alice and I are in our bed, she is already fast asleep. I couldn't fall asleep something was wrong I felt it. Before I knew one of my guards open up the door and walked in. He saw I wasn't sleeping so he walked towards me. "Sir, it's your father he is not doing okay." He whispered so I stood up and put a robe around me. "Do we need to wake the queen?" He whispers to me but I just shake my head. She was very tired and she looked so sweet when she is sleeping. The guard and I walked towards my fathers bedroom as fast as we could. When I open the door I saw him laying in bed looking very ill and he was coughing the whole time. Some other guards were around his bed and my stepmother sat beside him. I walked over to him and sat on his side of the bed. I took his hand in mine and started to cry. "It's okay. It's time. I don't want you to be sad, you are the new king and your going to be great. You'll take care for this kingdom and make sure everything is fine." He said and I just started to cry more. "Don't let me down son. Make sure Alice is happy and that you take care of her. She is an amzing young lady just like your mother." He said, I took his hand and gave it a kiss. "Let me see your eyes." He said and I look deep in his eyes. With his other hand he stroked my cheek. "Daisy, you have your mothers eyes. I loved her so much. I'm going to see her soon and I'm going to tell her how wonderful her son is. I love you Thomas." He said still looking in my eyes. "Please father don't go. Don't leave me. I love you so much." I said and then his hand weakend from my cheek and I heard his last breath. "Father?" I asked quietly but no responds. I cried more and hugged him tight not wanting to let go. I didn't want to lose him but I already did. I can't do anything to help him anymore he is gone. I closed his eyes for him and looked at my stepmother but she didn't seem to have any emotion in her body. I stayed with my father a while and then slowly returned to my bedroom. It was morning already when I reached the room.
