Valencia De Léon

"Valencia, hi!" Victoria exclaims and wildly gestures for me to sit beside her, which I do.

I smile at the rest of the table before I lock eyes with Damiano. For a second it feels like the world has frozen, but I'm snapped out of it as food is brought to the table.

We all thank the waitress before digging in, casual conversation flowing easily. Thomas and Ethan seem to be engaged in a heated conversation about different beats they create with the breadsticks while Victoria and I start discussing the different artists.

"And I guess you already know by now which country we're representing." She laughs.

"Hmm, maybe Italy? But hey, how did you come up with the name? I don't think it's Italian, right?" I ask, still aware of the burning gaze the man sitting diagonally from me is giving me.

"Right, no it's not Italian. It's actually Danish, my mom's danish, so we just said random words and after multiple hours we came up with "måneskin" aka moonshine." Victoria rambles as she sips on the glass of water in her hand, the danish language flowing easily from her tongue.

As dinner continues a few speeches are held and as time goes on more and more people start to exit the hall to go to their hotel rooms.

Half of the hall has been emptied, it now consisting of myself and the members of måneskin and a few people starting to tuck away the food.

"So tomorrow, off day, wanna do something? Like just the two of us because I really need a moment without these boys. I love them but I haven't gotten an hour alone since, like, three days ago." Victoria mutters, gesturing towards Thomas, whose by now fallen asleep on the table, while Damiano and Ethan are shoving breadsticks up his nose.

I let out a snort before turning back to Victoria.
"Uh, yes please? I would love to. On the way to the hotel yesterday, I saw a super cool vintage music store with vinyls and other cool stuff. Wanna head there? We can rent bikes or something?" I suggest, I slightly lean back in my chair and I fight the urge to unbutton the button to my pants.

The meal was good, don't judge.

"Sounds good, wanna add a lunch or something to that?" She asks as she stifles a yawn.

Her yawn seems contagious as I let out one as well. I nod to answer her question and take a look at my phone to see the time.

9:34, why the fuck am I already tired?
Jet lag, dumbass.

"Hey Vic, are you really stealing Val all to yourself already and leaving us alone to fend for ourselves?" Thomas, now awake, questions. His voice full of teasing and I can already tell that a sibling-like banter is normal for them. I can't help but smile at the nickname.

"It's a girls day. You may not have any balls, but I know for sure you ain't a woman." Vic muses, before I can hear Thomas witty retort I see Lydia waving at me in the distance, a few tables away.

After I tell the group a be right back, I stand up and walk towards her. My feet now aching from the impact of my heels.

Reaching Lydia she informs me that I'm free to leave and that I don't have to be available until the next day as of tomorrow.

"Oh, and please go to bed early. We don't want to deal with you being so cranky." She teases.

I roll my eyes and hug her goodnight, but not letting go until I've had the last word, "the only cranky little gremlins we have here; is you."

I leave her before she can answer but as I turn to the table it's been emptied, besides the tall man leaning against it, watching my every step.

I raise my eyebrows at him and he shrugs, a smile playing on his full lips.

"Did they leave you here all alone?" I tease as I near him.

"No." He says bluntly and I once again raise a brow at him.

I still need to grab my phone I remind myself. I go to grab but as I'm about to reach it Damiano leans towards my body. I can feel his breath against my cheek and I look up to meet his almost black eyes, his gorgeous eyes. His hand raising to push a strand of free hair from my face back.

"I'll walk you back to your room." He says extending his arm for me to grab. I put my phone in my pocket and take his arm. My body still in cold shivers.

His cologne swallows me hole and I can't help but take a deep breath. As we begin walking I feel his eyes on me but I pretend to be oblivious.

Upon entering the elevator we fall into a comfortable silence and as another yawn escapes my lips Damiano looks down to me and tries to hide what seems like a smile.

"What?" I say, not either being able to keep the smile off my lips - biting my lower one in the process.

"You're beautiful."

the word count is around 870 words, but I feel like that's a bit short? Should I make them longer and maybe update more rarely or shorter and more frequent updates?
