"Moonshine sounds lovely right now."
"Then it's your lucky day, I'm right here baby."
"No, silly. I want the real stuff, alcohol, absolutely not you."

DAMIANO DAVID
Dropping the now small cigarette onto the ground I stomp my heel over it, smushing it underneath my shoe. I fiddle with the lighter in my hand, throwing it up into the air a few times before catching it again.
The now late afternoon wind is brushing my skin, every drag making it a tad bit colder, the hairs n my skin standing up.
I lean my head back against the glass wall and close my eyes, dreaming away for just a minute before the phone in my pocket vibrates to tell me that we're next up for rehearsals.
I walk into the arena, already hearing the beat of whoever is rehearsing before us. It's a slow and steady beat but still powerful, curious to find out who it is I walk closer to the stage area until I can open the doors and walk in.
As I walk in I'm met by a powerful voice, but still soft to the ears and I almost immediately recognize who it belongs to.
I walk closer until the stage before me is in sight, across the arena stands Valencia on the stage signing. Her hands clasped tightly around the mic-stand with closed eyes. Letting the music guide her through her singing.
"Damiano." A voice calls out and I look to my right to see Victoria, Thomas, Ethan and Lydia sit on the seat at the very top, furthest away from the stage.
"Look who finally made their way in." Ethan says as I walk towards them, my eyes still glued to the beautiful girl on stage.
"I took a quick smoke." I mumble, still entranced as I sit down beside Vic.
"What-? You told me you didn't have any more cigarettes?!!" Thomas shrieks and I turn my head his way to give him a sly smirk.
"Hey, I'm sorry but could you shut up? I really like this bit." Lydia demands sweetly as she sticks her head out to look at us with a sarcastic smile.
"Oh she's sweet but a psycho." Ethan sings under his breath making both Vic and Lydia slap him in the back of his head. Before any shouts of protest even leaves Ethan's mouth a voice interrupts up and Valencia's singing.
She comes to a part where her voice gets louder, hitting the high notes but still with a soft touch to her vocals. Her voice is ethereal and I can't help but feel as though I'm hypnotized, shivers running up my arms as my eyes become wide and jaw slack.
Her voice was angelic.
"Told you it was a good bit." Lydia boasts but she receives no answers, all of us too engrossed in Val's singing and stage presence.
