VALENCIA DE LÉON

Food poisoning.

That was what we had, when we had left the hotel that night we had ended up in Cristo's room as he continued to heave out his insides.

I, too, was labeled food poisoned since we had the same exact symptoms and because we had eaten the same dinner the day before.

While Cristo was really sick I only got the shivers and a slight fever but because of our fevers we were forced to get tested for corona and until those results came back negative - I wouldn't be allowed to leave the room and go to my own, and until my symptoms subside I wouldn't be allowed to go anywhere at all.

Something that I looked tremendously forward to was to be able to go to my room and be alone. Don't get me wrong, Christo is good company but after the thirteenth round of monopoly and him being a bad loser, the only thing you want to do is strangle him.

And whenever I would try to excuse myself from playing by saying "I can't, I'm too sick." He would answer with "Boo, you whore."

I tap my fingers on my stomach as I lay on the floor, ignoring Cristo who is trying to force his manager to bring him take-out by constantly calling her.

"One more game, please. I won't even be mad at you for cheating this time." Christo pleaded as he held the game out in his hands.

"I don't even cheat?!" I cry out and sit myself up to give him a cold glare.

"One more game!"

"No."

A ping rings through the room and it's a message from Diana.

Diana
The results are negative, you can go to your room but until your fever is gone you're in isolation. Get better x

"I'll do anything, I'll even pay you for a game. Yeah, I'll pay you. I promise that you won't regret..- where are you going?" Cristo rambles on but looks back up to the door that I'm sprinting towards.

"Away from you!" I tell and exit the room, not even caring about leaving him with a game in his hands looking like a sad puppy.

I take a deep breath upon exiting, the air is fresher in the corridor but due to having a fatigued body and having low blood pressure my body don't react well to the sudden movement of standing and running.

I put my hand against one of the walls and lean slightly on it, the dots in front of me getting a tad bit worse before they get better. I shake my head slightly, bad memories starting to form in my head due to my stays at the hospital as a kid resurfacing.
