Chapter 13: The Rescue Plan

"T-they're crazy!" Henry exclaimed as he hid behind a wall nearby.

The Fiore wizards stood in a circle facing the approaching soldiers that surrounded them. Despite the sheer number of soldiers, the wizards had expressions of confidence and determination, like nothing could stand in their way. Argus slowly stood up wiping the dust on his body and crossed his arms with a smirk.

"Well well, look what you did now." He cracked his knuckles. "Just by that one action you broke several laws, I hope you're prepared for punishment young man." He proceeded to point at them and yell out. "Arrest them!"

The soldiers charged towards the group with their weapons as each one of them either dodged or blocked their attacks.

"Natsu." Erza started. "You remember the plan right?"

"Ha! Of course!" Natsu cackled. Argus squinted his eyes as he thought "They're ignoring me? What kind of plan do they have...?"

Natsu cracked a smirk before Happy grabbed onto him and flew off. "Charge right to the castle!" Natsu yelled out.

"What kind of plan is that?!" Argus sputtered. He growled as his large wings expanded, preparing to take off. However he wasn't paying attention and what appeared to be an iron mallet came flying towards his face, hitting it dead on. Gajeel came crashing through the soldiers as he stood in front of Argus.

"Gee hee, remember me punk?" Gajeel retracts his mallet into his hand as he taunts Argus. Argus looked at Gajeel for a second before rubbing his cheek. "Right, you're from the bar. Seems like you ignored my warning eh?" Argus said.

"Like I care." Gajeel cracked his knuckles. "We didn't come here to kiss ass with you clowns." He then looked up at Natsu who gave Gajeel a thumbs up before continuing his charge. Gajeel yelled out "Quit floating around and get going, Salamander!"

Dozens of soldiers were being blasted away by the opposing wizards as they charged through them.

"Holy Ray!" Sting stretched his hands out as several light lasers struck the soldiers.

"Star Dress: Sagittarius Form!" Lucy pointed her key of the horse at her body which granted her the power of her spirit Sagittarius. A bow appeared in her hands as she shot streams of arrows around the area.

"Don't slow down now!" Jellal exclaimed as he zipped past several enemies knocking them down one by one.

As this was going on, several of the townsfolk hid and watched in horror and confusion. Lucy ran past a few and noticed their expressions. She didn't slow down but looked down, Erza met up with Lucy and noticed her expression.

"I know what we're doing is causing panic, however remember that we're doing this for them as well." She reassured. Lucy looked at Erza and gave a soft smile before they both continued.

Natsu and Happy were still soaring through town, dodging opposing soldiers that tried to stop them. Several of them started to pile on the two but Natsu bursted them off.

"Let's go, Happy! We're getting closer!"

"Aye sir!"

Shortly after, Natsu looked down and saw a female angel in a suit staring right back at them calmly. She was smoking a pipe and the smoke appeared to have traveled rather far.

"Another one in charge is a woman in a suit and eyeglasses. She is usually seen smoking out of a pipe."

"Hey Natsu, isn't that the woman Rogue talked about?" Happy asked.
