He just ended the call and rush to the Emergency Room. He didn't say goodbye to Helm and I guess his friend understood that it is emergency.

The nurse ran towards the curtain and opened it. "Here she is, Doc."

"Ready the operating room!" He shouted that made the nurses flinched and move right away and did their job.
