He did drag her in the shower when she woke up. Nathalie tried her best to whine and complain and resist, but it didn’t work in the end. It was afternoon by the time their squads with Moblit and Hange and Erwin returned from the Interior, exhausted and drunk. Nathalie made sure she scolded Jean, Connie, and Sasha for drinking so much. It wasn’t good for their health. Not to mention that Jean had puked way too many times in a bucket that Nathalie had given him.

“And that is exactly why you kids shouldn’t be drinking at this age,” Nathalie sighed disappointingly as she gently caressed Jean’s hair whilst he puked his guts out on the bucket that Nathalie was holding up for him.

Jean grunted and Nathalie wiped his mouth with a handkerchief and she handed him a glass of water to clean up his mouth.

“I mean, I get it, you kids are at that age where things start to feel… weird, and drinking might sound like a way to celebrate things,” Nathalie cringed as she let down the bucket and Jean buried his face in her shoulder. He groaned in utter irritation for his current state.

“Nat… I think… you’re most… probably, possibly… definitely correct,” Connie mumbled, in his drunken haze. His head rolled back on the wooden frame of his bed.

“But I didn’t drink, Nat…” Sasha took a few heavy breaths. “…I just… ate too much-” Sasha’s hand reached for the mouth, clamping around her lips to keep herself from puking all over the place.

“Here,” Connie offered her his own bucket. Sasha grasped it and she started puking into it all that food that she had consumed and was definitely too much for her little stomach.

“Hey, Nat?” Jean mumbled in her shoulder and Nathalie passed an arm around his shoulders. Her fingers found his sweaty hair and she started caressing gently.

“What is it, darling?” Nathalie pressed a kiss on his sweaty temple and Jean buried his face deeper into her shoulder. She was sitting on the edge of his bed, and he was beside her. His sweaty head was ruining that fleshly washed white shirt that she was wearing but it was alright. She could wash it again afterwards.

“Don’t tell the Captain but…” Jean sighed drunkenly in her neck. “…I think you’re really hot,”

Nathalie almost choked on her own saliva. She could feel the heat about to spread on her cheeks but choked it away and she just chuckled. “Oh? Is that so?” She asked playfully. She knew Jean wasn’t really on his right mind at the moment.

“Yes… which isn’t like me, I prefer the black-haired, strong, younger ladies like Mikasa, y’ know? A- And you’re too old for me!” Jean whined in her neck and he almost started crying.

Nathalie cringed, but she continued caressing his hair. “That is true, darling,”

“She’s kinda married too, you know,” Sasha reminded him.

“Yeah, to the most lethal human being in this world,” Connie added.

“I KNOW!” Now Jean was actually crying, making a bigger mess on her skirt and Nathalie cringed, but she still wiped his tears with her handkerchief. Nathalie noted to herself to never let this boy get drunk ever again.

“Jeez, get it together, man!” Connie groaned. Sasha was still puking her guts out. “The Captain’s gonna fucking kill you,” Connie said and Jean groaned in irritation.

“It’s alright, your secret’s safe with me,” Nathalie chuckled as she gently pulled him away from her neck and lied him gently back down on his bed.

Jean’s arms reached for around her waist in a desperate attempt to keep her there. “W- Wait, where are you going?!”

Nathalie leaned close and wiped the sweat off his forehead and his temples with the same handkerchief. She cupped his face and she pulled the bedsheets over his body. Before he even knew it, she had tucked his hands away from her waist and beneath the bedsheets as well.
