Broken Hearts, Severed Limbs (Levi x OC x Erwin)

After the Battle to Reclaim Wall Maria and before the Winter Holidays.
30th October, Year 850

The weather temperature had started to drop. Wearing that one larger coat that she had was becoming a habit once more. Alas, Nathalie stayed in their quarters as per her husband's orders. That's how it was. After what happened the last time she was in a lab, he hadn't let her step foot back in one, and Erwin seemed to agree. It was alright, though. She could use a little bit of rest.

Nathalie sat quietly by the couch across Levi's desk. They were both in his office, having their afternoon tea. It was more like a sacred custom to have a cup of tea at exactly 5pm every day. A part of the day that both Levi and Nathalie cherished spending together. It had been like that for so long. And instead of just reading books, Nathalie used two large needles and a ton of yarn to prepare her Christmas gifts to their beloved brats.

Nathalie arched an eyebrow when the realisation hit her. She hadn't seen them today. They were supposed to be in the training grounds, or the dorms, and she had visited both, but hadn't found them. It was strange. She had made them cake and they hadn't tried it yet.

She let down the needles for a moment and she looked at her husband who was filling up paperwork. She had asked if she could help him, but he hadn't let her.

"Have you seen our brats today, darling?" Nathalie asked and Levi paused writing down for a moment and he looked at her for a moment trying to recall a part of the day that he had seen them.

"Actually... no, I haven't seen them today. Weren't they supposed to be training with Hange's squad?"

"Yeah, but they weren't in the training grounds when I checked out today," Nathalie was getting worried, he could tell. And he was getting worried as well, because their squad was important, not because they were all skilled and at least two people were able to shift, but because they cared about them. They were their little brats.

"Nat! Levi!" Hange barged in the room. She looked shocked. "My squad and your squad... they're gone,"

"What do you mean they're gone?!" Erwin cried out. Hange, Moblit, Levi and Nathalie all seemed just as shocked as he was.

This couldn't be happening. Those two squads were two of the best, veteran squads that he had. Eren and Armin were both titan shifters, there was no way that Erwin could let anything happen to them. Erwin had enough stuff in his mind right now as it is, what the hell was he going to do if anything happened to them?

And it wasn't just that. Those squads were skilled. The most brilliant scientists in Hange's Squad, and then, the best soldiers, all in Levi Squad.

"Find them. The four of you. Now!"

"Yes, sir!" It came in unison as they all saluted their commander and walked out of the room.

This was insane. They couldn't have been abducted. Right? Marley couldn't have entered Paradis. Right? Their intel claimed that they had time before any more conflicts. They had four years. Marley was at war with too many countries right now. They wouldn't attack another country. But what if they had? What if they had abducted their squads? But that didn't make sense. If they had, then only Armin and Eren would have been abducted. The rest would be fine and there.

"I suggest we check their quarters," Hange said as all four of them walked down the hall hastily. They were to exit the building and head for the accommodation building that was right beside this one.
