As much as AJ wanted to support his new-found friends, he couldn't help but be bored out of his mind as he watched their school-run production of 'Romeo and Juliet'. C'mon out of all the plays out there, why this one? It's so overdone.
Either way, he tried not to complain as he sat in the audience - directly in between Maya and Camilla as they all observed their friends' acting skills. Lucas, who was playing Romeo, honestly wasn't half bad. While Rylie, who got the role of Juliet, wasn't quite as good as her counterpart but certainly wasn't as bad as some of the other kids in the play.
"Eyes, look your last. Arms, take your last embrace." Lucas kneeled by the table Riley laid on, "And, lips, oh, you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss."
As the Texan leaned forward to kiss the brunette, Farkle snuck up from behind and pointed a fake spear towards the southern boy's head. "Back off!"
Confused, Lucas turned towards the scrawny boy, "What meanest thou? Spear carrier... who havest no lines."
AJ failed to shove down his laughter, attracting Romeo's eyes.
"You tried to kiss my woman. This I cannot allow. Prepare to die!"
"Did he steal that from the Princess Bride?" the brown-haired boy quietly questioned Camilla, who shrugged in response.
"Farkle, what're you doing? It's 'Romeo and Juliet'." Lucas gently hissed.
The other boy matched his level, "Well, now it's 'Romeo and Juliet and Farkle'. I play Farkle."
"Dude, I'm supposed to kiss the girl. Shakespeare said."
AJ frowned a bit, but he wasn't sure why this statement made him upset.
Slightly annoyed, Farkle faced the audience. "Who thinks the spear carrier should finally get to kiss Juliet?"
Everyone cheered, Maya the most. The blonde even stood from her seat and started yelling, "Yeah, you kiss that girl, you crazy spear carrier!"
"Hark! You cometh uppeth here and getteth kissed too!" Farkle yelled back at her, pointing his spear at the blonde girl.
Everyone cheered louder, causing the blonde to hesitantly walk onto the stage and lay beside Riley. "How ya doing?"
"I just don't understand how we end up in situations like this." the Smiley girl replied.

The play didn't last much longer, because of obvious reasons. Understandably, the director was not pleased. AJ honestly wouldn't be surprised if Farkle got banned from the auditorium with the stunt that he pulled.
