OK it's been months... I realize this... thank you for your patience and continuing on this journey with me
First I just want to say that I was driving down the highway and saw a license plate
"ALBATROS"
I had to really parent myself and say no do not take a picture you are driving on the highway that is not safe....but....IT WAS ALBATROS....it had to be because of EK .... It just had to be... so I didn't take the picture but I smiled the whole time that I drove behind this car....anyway I thought I would share J
Now im cracking my knuckles and getting ready to start this episode with you all... its been a long way to this moment and so let's dive in
Episode 35
1. This episode starts up at the beginning of the final scene of episode 34-
a. Can cutting wood at his mountain hut thinking he lost the love of his life, Sanem, forever. Sanem shows up and she watches him for a moment while he is chopping wood with a small smile on her face. I think she was taking it in- he didn't leave even when he thought Sanem did. Sanem does a little clear of her throat and Can turns to see her. And they give each other this look- it felt like relief and disbelief. Can throws down his ax like it was nothing, like he forgot what he was doing... I know that I said this last recap but it deserves saying it again- this was a metaphor for him no longer relying on "cutting wood and building fires to warm him" and allowing love to do that... if you remember when they were in their kidnapped ski resort talk Can asked sanem if they froze and were thawed would they still remember each other and Sanem said true love doesn't freeze and she continued to say she doesn't think he knows about that and he prefers to cut wood and make bonfires at his hut rather than deal with real love... so this throwing of the ax was small moment in a scene was really A HUGE moment symbolically
b. Can asks Sanem what she is doing there and that he thought she was going to Izmir... she says she didn't go and when he asks why she tells him to hold her as she runs towards him....he looked so confused even while she ran to him... but like second nature he catches her when she jumps with her legs wrapped around him...
c. And then she kisses him... and yes I am perfectly aware that in this moment he is holding her by her by her ass...excuse my Turkish.... But damn I just ..... gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the sweetness and the heat combination with the music is perfect.... They break apart and Sanem gives a mischievous smile while Can has this drunk dazed smile .... And this is where ep 34 ended...so luckily we got to see this whole reunion play out
