Later that afternoon the moving truck arrived. The small family began unloading the truck full of belongings. The small and light boxes were unloaded first since they were in the front while the bulkier furniture was buried in the back. After a few trips back and forth from the truck to the front door, y/n noticed a trio of girls looking at her from the park across the street. When the girls noticed y/n staring at them they got up and walked over.

"Hi!" chirped a girl dressed in a pink dress. "My name is Rose. These are my friends Juleka and Alix." She pointed at each girl in turn. Y/n waved politely. "We couldn't help but notice that it looks like you are moving in and we were wondering if we could help you?"

"Umm" was all y/n could get out before her mother came over.

"Who are these young women?" m/n inquired. Rose introduced her and her friends again and repeated her question.

"Well, I don't see any harm." the woman said. Looking at her daughter to see if she had any objections. Seeing none, she handed the purple haired girl, who goes by the name Juleka, a box. After a couple hours of hard work everything except for two couches were out of the van and in the house.

S/f/n told the group that he get the moving people to help him get the couches out of the truck when they came for the truck in the morning. M/n invited the girls to stay for dinner which was pizza but was politely declined.

"It's almost curfew." Alix, who was extremely cool once you got to know her, elaborated. "But before we go, what's your number y/n?" Y/n told the girls her number and then they left.

After pizza had been ordered and showers had been taken, the family found themselves looking for a place to eat. They ended up making a make-shift table out of the boxes. The pizza arrived and was placed on the "table". After the box was emptied, the family rolled out blankets on the floor and went to sleep.

-the next morning-

Y/n groaned as she stretched. She rolled over and grabbed her phone. 27 missed calls. Clicking on the notifications she saw that 14 were from (b/f/n), 11 were from Amber and 2 were from Kyle. Y/n decided to call (b/f/n) first. Only after she got the voice mail message did she realize that since Paris was 9 hours ahead of where she used to live it was only 1 a.m. where her friends were.

"Mornin'!" (m/n) greeted her daughter as she entered the room to get another box to take up to her bedroom.

"Breakfast?" Y/n questioned. (M/n) pointed towards the kitchen. Y/n rose and entered the room where she found a box of poptarts on the counter. Mmm cherry, y/n thought hungrily. Taking a huge bite of the yummy pastry, y/n felt a vibration come from her phone indicating she had gotten a text. She pulled out her phone and saw that it was from Rose.

Rose

Hi y/n! Juleka, Alix, some kids from our class and I are going to the park this afternoon if you want to join us. We will be there around 2. It's the park right across from your house.

Y/n
Thank you for inviting me. I'll check with my parents and hopefully see you there

Wiping the crumbs from her hands, y/n went to help unpack and ask permission to go to the park. (M/n) Told her daughter that depending on how much work got done before then she didn't see any reason why she couldn't go. Y/n started taking boxes to the rooms where they were supposed to stay. Three hours later, y/n was finally able to start putting her room together. She decided to wait to start fully unpacking until she got back from hanging out with Rose and her friends. The excited girl unzipped her bag and pulled out a towel, clothes, shampoo and conditioner. She showered and dressed in 45 minutes. After putting on minimal make up, she tied her tennis shoes and grabbed her phone and purse. She waved good bye to her parents who were attempting to set up the tv. Arriving at the park she saw a familiar face.

"Cat Boy?" He turned around and fear filled eyes locked with her's.
