A few hours after the previous chapter:
Astrid POV:

I smiled as we drove past the ‘Welcome to Berk’ sign. We were finally home and I was going to see my parents after a month. But then I couldn’t help myself and gave another small baby smile and glance back to Hiccup as he was driving, with the memory of our kiss in my mind.
I could still feel his soft lips on mine and the butterfly feeling in my tummy. It was nothing I have ever felt and compared to my kisses with Eret, it was on a whole new level of amazing. And it made me laugh in embarrassment that I thought Eret kisses were good.
After we stopped kissing much to my disappointment (and Hiccup, I hope) we both showered and got a good breakfast in. And then we hit the road and talked like always, but I still sometimes had small baby smiles on my face and glanced at Hiccup. And I caught him a few times glancing towards me too.
But now we were finally home, and I couldn’t wait to see my parents. And to show them that I have found Hiccup. And a tiny bit of me was hoping that we could kiss again, somehow.
“Your parents haven’t moved right?” Hiccup asked as we started to drive into town.
I looked at him and replied, “No, they haven’t. Still live at 28 Nadder Lane.” He smiled and then made the first right towards my house. I smiled. He still remembers where I lived. I then glanced back at the dogs. Toothless was looking curiously out of the window, while Stormfly’s tail was wagging due to the familiar sight of Berk. “Almost there, girl,” I replied and then watched how we made the last few turns to my house.
And then I saw it. My home. A two story brick house that walls were painted a dark blue. I smiled as all the happy memories came back to me as I grew up. “Home,” I breathed out and then Hiccup parked the car carefully next to the house in the driveway. Next to my father’s truck.
I looked at him and was about to ask, but he smiled and answered, “Go, I’ll get the dogs out.”
I smiled and opened the door and practically runned to the front door.

Narrator’s POV:

Inside of the Hofferson household, Astrid’s mother, father and uncle Finn, were all waiting for their daughter to arrive. They have gotten a message from her that she was already in Berk and was now just waiting for her to arrive.
Misses Hofferson was standing at the window staring out of the house waiting to see her daughter’s car to arrive, while mister Hofferson and Uncle Finn were watching the game. And she couldn’t hold her excitement. She had talked with Valka a few days ago and couldn’t wait to tell Astrid about Hiccup coming home. Sha almost did it when she heard the news but decided to tell her in person, when she came back home.
After a few minutes of staring out of the window, Ms Hofferson's eyes widened as she saw how a really expensive black car drove past her house. She wasn’t really into cars, but she could admit saying she has never seen a car like that ever before. But she then frowned as the car turned and drove up their driveway and then parked next to her husband’s car.
But she then smiled as she saw how her daughter climbed out of the passenger side of the car and ran to the front door.
“She’s here,” she called out to her husband and his brother and ran to the front door. She opened and then was engulfed by two strongs arms of her daughter.
“Mom,” Astrid practically shouted in pure joy. And hugged her mother.
“Astrid,” Ingrid, Astrid’s mother, said and hugged her daughter back. They stayed in the same position, enjoying each other's embraces. And Ingrid couldn’t help and smiled as her only child was in her arms again.
They soon were engulfed into another pair of two strong arms as her Harold, astrid’s father and uncle Finn hugged them both. “Dad, Uncle finn,” Astrid said and adjusted her arms so that she could hug them too.
“Astrid,” Her father said and hugged her and her mother tighter.
“Astrid,” her uncle said and hugged her also a bit tighter and said, “Welcome back, my favorite niece.”
Meanwhile Hiccup helped all the dogs all out and Stormfly rushed out and ran to Astrid and her family. When she got there, she stood up on her two back paws and placed her front two paws on Astrid's father’s side and barked happily. They all laughed happily and broke their hug and looked at the dog. Her father knelt and scratched her under her chin and she happily let him.
They all smiled and then Ingrid turned to Astrid and said, “Honey, I have great news for you.” Astrid turned to her mother and she explained, “Hiccup called his mother and said he is coming back to visit. He’ll be at the reunion and we are going to dinner at them tomorrow.”
She smiled and said, “That is great mom. And I have someone to introduce to you.”
Astrid turned around and they all looked down the path towards Hiccup and Toothless. He was standing there happily with a smile on his face due to the family in front of him and Toothless was sitting next to his side and looking around the place. But when Hiccup saw that they were actually looking at them he blushed slightly and walked up to them and said, “Hi misses Hofferson, mister Hofferson and mister Hofferson. It’s good to see you.” And then held his hand out to shake Astrid father’s hand, while inward cringing how stupid that sounded.
Alfred shook his hand and said, “It’s nice to meet you, ehh.”
“Harper Harrison,” Hiccup replied and all of their eyes widened in surprise and shock, “But you all know me by a different name.”
He then turned and shook Finn’s hand and they all stared in confusion at Hiccup. “Can’t you recognise him?” Astrid asked and her father and uncle shook his head, but her mother narrowed her eyes and looked more closely. And then she saw his forest green eyes. His mother's eyes.
She gasped in realisation and put her hand on her chest and mouthed, “Hiccup?”
He smiled and replied, “Hi misses Hofferson. It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
She didn’t reply and pulled him into a hug. Astrid and Hiccup smiled and he gave her a hug, while Alfred and Finn looked confused because they didn’t see what Ingrid mouthed.
After a second she pulled back and said, “Oh, Gods. Hiccup looked at how much you have grown. So big and handsome.”
He chuckled and said, “Thank you, Ms Hofferson. And you don’t look a day older since Astrid and I graduated.”
She smiled and replied, “Thank you Hiccup.”
Alfred and Finn then came over their shock and Alfred said, “Hiccup, is it really you?” Hiccup smiled and nodded. Astrid's father laughed and pulled him in a bone crushing hug and said, “Welcome back to Berk.”
Hiccup smiled and managed to say, “Thanks..air.”
Alfred let him go, but he was then met with another bone crushing hug from uncle Finn. “Welcome back, laddie,” Finn said and let him go.
Hiccup took a few deep breaths and said, “Thanks. It’s good to be back.”
Ms Hofferson waved inside and said, “Come on. Let’s go inside so we can catch up.”
Hiccup smiled and replied, “As much as I would love to,Ms Hofferson. I think I should go to my parents home. They are expecting me.”
She nodded in understanding and said, “Fine, but we better see you again.”
He grinned and said, “Don’t worry. You will. I anyway need to pick Astrid up for tonight's reunion.”
They all looked at Astrid and she smiled and replied, “I thought it would be a good thing to go together.” They all smiled and agreed.

A few minutes later:
Hiccups POV:

I smiled as I drove out of the Hofferson driveway. We only took Astrid’s baggage out of the car and it took us about ten minutes, because they bombarented us with questions. And we both replied the best we could but after 10 minutes I manage to escape, with a kiss on the cheek from Astrid, but I was kind of hoping it was on my lips again.
Gods, her lips. So soft, so warm and so sweet. It tasted like just like honey. And I still felt drunk on pure bliss and love from the kiss, from this morning.
But I took a deep breath as I drove into the next street. My parents home was walking distance from Astrid’s so I was already in my parents street. I slowed down as I started to drive down the road and I watched as I drove by all the houses in my street and their numbers. 2. 4. 6. 8. 10. 12. And then 14th. My old home.
It was a two story wooden house, but extremely well taken of. It had an open lawn in front of it and behind and to the side of it were some spruce trees that I used to play in when I was younger. I smiled at the memory of me and Astrid playing hide and seek.
I turned my car and drove into the driveway and stopped in front of the garage doors and turned off my car. I sighed and took a deep breath. “Ok, Hiccup,” I said and tried to motivate myself to go, “Astrid said that they wanted you to come home. That they would be delighted to see you. That they missed you and would welcome you with open arms.”
But deep down there was still a little voice that said, what if? What if they closed the door in front of my face. What if they are disappointed in me. What if they were mad at me for leaving.
Stop. They will be delighted to see you. They have been searching for you ever since you left so they must care about you. I opened my door and then quickly opened the back door for Toothless. He jumped out and stretch his legs and looked around. I smiled.
At least he will be with me, if they turn their backs on me. I looked up at the bid french door. I took a deep breath and walked towards the door with Toothless on my heels. And when I came there, I paused for a second before softly knocking on the door.

Valka POV:

I smiled as I started to make the last of food for lunch. I decided to go all over board and made all of Hiccup’s favorite food. I smiled. He was coming home. Today. My baby boy was coming home. After 15 years, I was going to have him in my arms. Back safe in my arms. In any moment, I will the one of the happiest pieces back in my life and be completed.
But then I heard Stiock phone ringing again. Probably another person calling about the power problem. It has been getting worse and worse and the ingeneers we called either didn’t know what was wrong or did’t come to check what is wrong. I just hopes no one calls when Hiccups arrive or that might cause trouble.
And then there was a soft knocks on the door. Must be the mailman or someone who came here to drop something off. Or maybe even Hiccup. I turn the heating from the stove a bit lower and walked towards the front door.
And when I opened the door, my eyes widened at the young man in front of me. He had forest green eyes and auburn hair. He was quiet tall, but lean, but I immdeaitely knew who he was.
“Hi, mom,” My son greeted  me.
