Just after the previous chapter:

Hiccup's POV:

"Wait, you were the little girl that I saved... Emma?" I asked the senior, shocked.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing in front of my eyes. Here was the little girl that I saved 10 years ago. But she wasn't a little girl anymore, but a grown young woman. But I could still see the similarities from the little girl that I saved. The brown hair that curled at the ends and the amber coloured eyes. She still had a little bit of freckles on her face, but nothing compared to how many she had when she was younger.

The senior smiled and looked up at me and said, "You remember me?"

I chuckled and replied, "I will never forget the little girl that visited me every Friday in hospital."

Now that I think about it, it was probably the only thing that saved me from death by boredom. Every Friday, when I was stuck in the hospital, Emma and one of her parents came to visit me. She would always bring me a drawing of me in a superman suit, that was stopping a car from running a little girl over. I actually think that she drew so many of those pictures that there wasn't enough space on the walls for them all. She then always sat on my bed with me and asked what everything was and what everything did. And then she always asked if we could play with my bed, by folding it up and making it more like a pool lounger, than a bed.

"And look at how much you have grown up," I exclaimed, "And where is your orange ribbon you used to wear in your hair?" It is something I could always remember of her. She always had orange ribbons in her hair and whenever I would have touched it, she would throw a tantrum over it. Apparently orange was her favorite colour and those ribbons were given to her by her favorite grandmother.

She huffed and replied, "Headmaster Viggo insisted that all of the seniors wear only black, so I had to leave it."

I gave her a small look of sympathy and was about to make a comment to make her smile, but someone then fake coughed next to my side. I looked over to see Astrid looking at us with a raised eyebrow and unimpressed look.

I chuckled and said, "Astrid, this," I gestured towards Emma, "is the little girl I saved, Emma. Emma, this is the Astrid Hofferson."

Astrid gave me a small innocent smile and said, "I figured that part out, Hiccup. I am just playing with you."

I smiled and was about to reply, but then someone behind us groaned and said, "Hurry up, already."

I glanced backwards to see a guy with a really expensive looking black suit. He had black hair and brown eyes and I immediately remembered him as one of Snotlout's friends and a school jock. Next to him stood a blond woman in a blood red silk dress that looked even more expensive than the guy's suit. And was definitely more than revealing.

I quickly turned back to Emma and gave her a polite smile and said, "I'll talk to you later, ok? So that we could catch up. I want to know how it is going with you and your family."

For a small moment a look of pain crossed her face, but she smiled and replied, "I would love too."

I grinned and I started to walk away with Astrid.

"So," Astrid started when we were out of earshot of Emma, "You and Emma are close?" She gave me a teasing, but yet curious smile.

I chuckled and replied, "Sort of. We are close in a way. I guess she sees me as her personal hero, because I saved her and I see her as family, because she came to visit me in hospital for the few weeks I was stuck there and almost treated me as if I was her favorite uncle, telling me anything and everything."
