Truth

Tangi fumes in anger. "Bala is my friend too. I always shared a special bond with him. Maybe, he read me wrong in the middle... thanks to his so-called friends. When Bala proposed his love on my birthday, I did not reject his proposal, instead we both handled the situation in a matured manner. Even Bala was very happy with the way we dealt with the situation. As a matter of fact, our friendship grew closer after the proposal." She struggles to breath and yet she adds, "It's you. You killed your brother."

"Wow! Hats off to you. You're perfect in blame games. How easily you're turning the tables. Great. Awesome. Superb." Shivani claps her hands loud out of frustration.

It's Raghav and you... your love." Tangi is unable to continue, she coughs as she struggles to breath.

"Raghav and I loved each other... truly and madly. Our love story was divine, and I still love him with all my heart." Shivani wipes off the tears and adds, "What happened to Raghav was cruel. God must be blamed. I miss him." She wipes off the tears again, "Don't ever dare to speak about him again."

"Bala and Raghav, both died within a week span. Both died in accidents... one fell from the terrace and the other was hit by the train." Tangi speaks looking into Shivani's eyes. Though she is heard feebly, still all of them are glued to her.

"One died by suicide and the other..." Tangi stammers to speak.

"Stop. Don't speak a word. If you do, I will cut your throat. I know you well... you are good at telling stories." Shivani shouts at her peak voice.

"Hear me out, Shivani. You truly loved Raghav... but he loved you only for sexual benefits." Shivani interrupts as Tangi narrates the story.

"Will you listen to me? Please..." Shivani's eyes turn blood red. "Raghav shot videos of the intimate moments he had with you."

"Stop. Stop this nonsense." Shivani slaps Tangi hard.

"Damn it. Listen to me." Blood oozes out of the cut. Tangi speaks aloud.

"Whenever you both made love, Raghav shot videos of it without your knowledge. He blackmailed Bala with those videos. On one instance Bala got agitated, he furiously pushed Raghav from his house terrace. Raghav fell on the concrete floor, his skull broke and he died on the spot. Bala could not handle the guilt. He confessed the truth to me the next day. I advised him to confess the truth to your parents without revealing about you and then surrender in the police station. He could not do that – he committed suicide – he believed that the truth should die with him. The videos were pretty much alive in Raghav's computer.

I gained access to Raghav's desktop in the name of 'retrieve presentation made for school annual day' and deleted those videos before his father requested for the investigation on his son's death."

Taking a deep breath Tangi adds, "Bala, born talent and my hero, did not deserve death. I cried for days. I could not sleep for weeks. And yet, I hid everything within myself, for the good of all and especially, you."

Tangi stutters to talk, she adds, "Don't dare to point fingers at me for his death. Never again, please."

Tangi passes out after speaking her heart; she is breathless, almost.

"We are connecting to the command center to check for leads on social network." James speaks without much of hope and adds, "we will nail them very soon.".

I exercise my facial muscles with a smile, "I'm instinctive. Tangi is here... somewhere close by." I pause for a response. Silence, and I add, "We all live under the same sky and so, the world is small."

Marco nods his head and I say, "I believe in destiny."
