Epilogue

I look at myself in the mirror in the restroom. I look aged. I see grey hairs in my beard. And, my face has wrinkles than I ever had in all my life.

I close my eyes. I hear Tangi shouting "Ashok-eyy" and falling flat on her belly. I shiver badly at the very thought of it. Holy*** that fall. I cannot even imagine that.

I follow my instincts. That's why that day I caught her before she hit the floor, held her close to my heart, turned upside down and I took a hard hit on the floor. I passed out.

I open my eyes. Tears roll down my cheeks. Tangi. My love. My breath. I am breathing because She is with me.

I try to calm down myself and yet I fail, I see dead bodies. I close my eyes tight. Shivani was a good person at heart till vengeance took control of her mind. She had big dreams and wishes but lost her life to anger and vengeance. I feel sorry for her. James took a headshot before he was hit by the knife thrown at him. Let Shivani's soul rest in peace.

Raman wasted his life. His last live video became the talking point of social media. It's time for a reality check on social media influences. Let his soul rest in peace.

Jennifer is a brave police officer. She is just perfect. She knows what to do and when to do. Amazing personality. And I am glad to hear that James is back to work and shielding people in the fight against COVID-19.

Harish admitted his crimes and pleaded apology. Though he helped to save Tangi, still he was stripped of his professional degree for misusing medical science and was sentenced to two-year imprisonment. However, he succumbed to COVID-19 a week ago. Let his soul rest in peace.

Sanjay is physiologically affected, and he is still getting treated in the hospital, after which he must serve six-month imprisonment and I am not sure if it will happen any time soon.

"Ashok-eyy," I hear Tangi's voice. I open my eyes breaking my reflections. I see my rowdy don sweetheart standing at the door.

"Are you okay, baby?" Tangi walks up to me, holds my arm first, and then places my hand on her baby bump.... five-months now. We are excited about our parenthood but then that's the only excitement left in us as we are still trying to come out of the trauma.

She rests her head on my shoulders. "I'm supposed to take care of you. You lost blood. A lot." I say. She smiles and says, "I love you."

"Mom, Dad, Bala, Shivani, Harish and Raman, shall rest in peace. Please stop thinking about them." Tangi whispers after kissing my cheeks.

"I wish I can."

"You've to... we've no other choice." Tangi gulps the last few words and speaks again in a happy tone, "This COVID-19 has forced the world to get into lockdown. Something the world is experiencing for the first time. I am not sure when this will come to an end. All I wish is people should not lose their life to this deadly virus. At the same time, I am happy and excited that I will be spending each second with you in our home sweet home. By the way, Bengaluru weather is just perfect for couples. Don't you think so?" She holds my hip, looks into eyes and smiles. I smile.

I hug her tight and kiss her infinitely... our morning routine for the past couple of months.

A notification pops up on my phone. It's a message on Instagram from Media Kings, a popular production house. It reads – We will be happy to produce this script. It's too good for a "Web Series". Let's connect once we are done away with the COVID-19 restrictions.

I jump in happiness. I seal Tangi's lips with mine again.

"Let me go and prepare our favourite coffee. You freshen up and come soon." Tangi is visibly happy and excited. I too.
I take a fresh bathe. I go out and we have our cup of coffee. We smile. At least we get better each day at this.

It will include the sub stories to complete the puzzle. I may also come up with part two of this story to answer a few questions if you are willing to support.
